I'm playing through the DS version atm, have to say I totally agree with you! It feels incredibly fresh for a game over 15 years old!! I think it's going to be one of those games that will always be a classic, no matter how far technology advances or how much time passes (ironically)...

Nope, I saw that too :L

This looks really good, probably gonna buy it on day one

Exactly this - it's a vicious circle, and until someone gets the balls to take the plunge, nothing's going to change (you could probably apply this sentence to the Vita in general as well)

Question - if I remember correctly this game will be on the Wii U as well as the 360 and PS3... so why is there no mention of a season pass for Wii U?

I DIDN'T EVEN WATCH THE VIDEO, BUT I STRONGLY DISAGREE WITH YOUR OPINION AND AM GOING TO CALL YOU GAY AND A NOOB BECAUSE I CAN.

...And they wonder why Vita isn't selling. There's no reason why the Vita couldn't handle both games in one package (all it'd need is a larger stick to put the game on), so people will go for the cheaper option and just get the one disc for PS3...

Nope, it's a decade-old GBA port which has been re-ported to iOS - I guarantee that $19 worth of work has not gone into this between the GBA release and iOS re-release...

They'll charge as much as they can get for them (they are a business, remember) and unfortunately there are some nitwits out there with more money than sense... :L

Hacked PSP + GBA emulator + FFV Advance ROM = Fuck you Squeenix, I don't need to buy a decade-old port for $19

This.

Exactly! The term' biting the hand that feeds you' seems very apt here... Not to mention that some of the measures that this kind of DRM imposes is technically illegal under consumer rights laws (at least in the UK, probably in other countries as well).

So, before you know it, every game you ever want to play will have to be played in a place with wireless access. Woe betide you if you want to play Legend of Zelda and your internet has dropped out. And don't you even THINK about playing Tetris on public transport...

You're absolutely right - the thing about this form of DRM though is that it screws the paying customer over far more than it does the pirate. If removing the offline timeout is as simple as the 'hacker' (for want of a better word) is suggesting - a simple command line prompt - then any pirate who's

You've kinda missed the point here - EA is attempting to palm off their anti-piracy DRM as a game feature, and if they are allowed to get away with what has now been proven to be, quite frankly, bullshit, then a precedent will be set. Before you know it, the next Mario game won't work without an internet connection

Why should we be expected to maintain an online connection for what is arguably a single-player experience? If I want to play in a gave with no Wi-Fi then I should be able to do so...

This.

As awkward as it may end up being, I'd actually be up for something like that!

I'd agree with this - I started with 358/2 days, then Birth By Sleep, then 1 - by part-way through 1 I was completely lost story-wise, and I had to spend a while on the internet to grasp the story, and where the games I'd played fitted in with it.

A lot of the under-the-hood improvements that are made every year in sports games (EA's FIFA springs to mind) may not be obvious to the casual observer, but make a massive difference to those who play these games on a regular basis. Going back to FIFA, if you were to compare the 12-13 release's gameplay to last
