They're more likely to port it to the Vita with twin-stick support, I'd forget about playing it on a PS3...
I wish I knew! It's been released in Japan, and someone involved in it's development (I can't remember the person) has suggested that it's being localised. But the way the PSP has gone, and with it being over 2 UMD's, I doubt it will get to America, let alone Europe - which is VERY frustrating, because it looks like…
I know. Part of that is because, as a PAL territory, games have to be translated into French/Italian/German/Etc before we can have them. I've always tried to get region lock-free systems so that I can import from America when publishers like Atlus screw Europe over. But this gen, I think I might import an American 3DS…
Well when you think of the cost of internal parts to surpass 360/PS3, and then they need extra processing and RAM for the extra screen, and then the cost of the Gamepad itself, it can't be cheap to produce. I'd like it to be under £200, but I think £250 is a fair price.
...If you knew where to look, the 3DS was being sold for under £200 at launch (Amazon, I think). I agree that it was still too pricey, but hopefully everyone involved has learnt their lessons from what happened.
Nintendo have proven time and again that they know what they're doing. Even if their console can't support UE4 and it's next-gen brethren, the Wii U will be a success, and I'm more than convinced that I'll be getting one very soon after launch.
In the UK one retailer is taking pre-orders for £280 - I think that's just over $400. But going on the example of the 3DS, there is likely to be a price war between retailers, which will see a significant drop in the price between now and launch...
I'm surprised at the amount of negativity in the comments. For me, the attitudes of people like Wada and Nemura are really heartening, and have gone a long way to renewing my faith in Square Enix. I have always been a Squeenix fanboy, but in recent times their reluctance to localise Type-0, the fiasco with Versus XIII…
For college I'll be with roughly the same people, as well as 60+ new people. When I get to university I doubt I'll know anybody there. If I'm honest, university is the goalpost for me. And thank you very much, I feel like I've learnt a lot talking to you.
You know you're addicted to video games when...
I vent through writing a bit - but lyrics, not stories. The emotional impact a song has is much more immediate than that of a story, so writing song lyrics sometimes helps me to feel a bit better.
You took the words right out of my mouth!
I used the word symbiosis in the sense that the industry cannot work without paying gamers; I felt that the word accurately conveyed the idea that they cannot survive without giving us products of a quality that we are willing to pay money for, which is why gamers aren't 'entitled' for making it clear what they expect…
FFVII and Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters - both on my PSP. Who needs a Vita?!?
That is such a pig-headed and misinformed viewpoint and - annoyingly - it's a commonplace one. The relationship between gamers and the gaming industry is symbiotic: they give us games that are playable and enjoyable, we give them money. This works great, as long as both sides keep delivering. Who's to say that we…
I second this.
This is so sexist! ;P
Nor do I (yet - I'm holding out for a model with the Circle Pad Pro built-in) but knowing my brother, he'll buy it and I'll be able to use his copy :D
Agreed - as desperate as I am to get myself a 3DS (games like SMT 4, KH: DDD and Bravely Default just look too good to pass up), I'm holding of until they release a model with the Circle Pad Pro features built-in...
