this is my last open thread as a single man, I get married on Sunday!

So glad we don't have this problem in the UK. We have real plugs/sockets that can't pull out like that!

JooJoo - released March 2010

Freeze it and it practically falls off. Either put the trainer in your freezer or use a wart removal aerosol.

Successfully rooted my Desire HD and flashed with CM7 this week (which it turns out is a complete ball ache if you've already upgraded to gingerbread through HTC, btw) for the sole purpose of doing this with my shiny new Canon EOS 60D:

Yeah adblock's disabled on mine too, doesn't seem to make a difference. And it's definitely just Giz for me, and every time! Very bizarre!

I've ridden this coaster,I know it looks slow in the video but it's unbelievably fast, even at the end! The launch is so fast you have to wear protective goggles and those humps at the end are gut wrenching.

He races F1 ferraris?

I've been on this, and it's freakin' awesome! Breathtaking in the true sense of the term!

Any chance of seeing some images taken using an iPad as a softbox?

Well there aren't anywhere near as many open wifi networks in europe as there are in the states, and I'm not sure if google voice will work at all as it hasn't even come to europe yet (well, not the UK, might be wrong about the rest of the continent!) So skype is probably your best bet for calls over wifi.

I used to smoke pipe tobacco in rolled cigarettes, not sure why to be honest they just kept going out.

This too has always been a matter of debate in my little brain.

Has anyone else noticed that Gizmodo has recently had some buggy javascript added (but interestingly not the rest of gawker) that takes about 2 minutes to load and prevents any interaction with the site (even when you open a link in a new window/tab)

This is just a KVM switch, you could bastardise any off the shelf KVM with some adapters to do the same thing. Alternatively if both macs are on the same network you could use synergy to achieve the same functionality over the network (and for free!)

In the DNS settings on your domain registrars website you will need to add an A record (or 2 really, one for http:// yoursite. com and one for http:// www. yoursite. com) to point to the location of the server your website's on (sites .google .com / etc/ etc)

I think it depends whether your future fiancée would like a *really* big diamond. I spent £1000 on my fiancée's engagement ring (about $1600) and got a .33 carat diamond, princess set, on an 18K white gold ring. For that same price on Diamond Nexus Labs you can get a similarly set ring but with a 1.68 carat diamond

Interesting idea, I suppose this uses the same principle as cooking a steak "sous vide", which is what I always thought to be the best way to cook thick steaks. (albeit a little bit tedious)

hmm ... possibly a dedicated pre-vista or linux SAMBA box that you all just dump photos to? Or an off-the-shelf NAS that goes straight into your router? Or rock your own FreeNAS box?
