just want to point out the random romance is present in plenty of animes too. Just as big, or perhaps even more of a disconnect is random “high school” scenes in the middle of animes.

they won’t eschew going out. They’ll just eschew going out to that particular establishment.
The same number as when cabs existed prior to 2019.
maybe designated drivers who are driving paying customers to the bar (who would not go otherwise)
If he doesn’t go (i.e. the guy driving around the group of paying customers) it means they don’t get any paying customers at all.
“The problem with a lot of restaurants/bars/cafes today is that they aren’t schooled in customer service/hospitality”
she was complaining about 14 people in a week (2 per day) in a bar with 26 seats.
2 out of 26 means 1 out of every 13 people. That’s pretty much standard designated driver levels (maybe even less, probably should be more like 1 in 4. That’s just a part of the cost of doing business.
not trying to defend, but more noting how the justification creep happens. Sudetenland and a good part of Poland used to be part of Germany until 20 years before then (i.e. end of WW1) and was populated mainly by Germans.

that grilles probably fake anyway.
Thats not really an employer either, employer’s also set hours, and have far greater control over when and how you work.
Just to note...the Uber/Lyft model actually is how we already pay and treat taxi drivers. Taxi drivers similarly earn whatever fare they make, minus a “commission” paid for use of the vehicle, medallion etc.
There’s two ways to see this, I think.
It’s not quite “settle out of court”, but rather, you give up your right to sue in the government court system, and instead agree to mount your suit before private judges.
Essentially, lotteries just fund lower taxes spread over everyone who does not play (and where those lower taxes come from depend on the political bias of your state).
Intuit offers their services for free as a “bribe” to Congress to stop the IRS from competing with them (Since the IRS has everyone’s tax documents, run the tax return calculations anyway to make sure noone is underpaying and the returns are accurate, and it would add negligible incremental cost to just have the IRS…
Wow with the ad hominem.
That’s not what I meant.
Oh looks like you missed the part where the prosecutor agreed then.
