I know Imperial and US are different, just a terminology for ease of use.

I like how ‘airline-style rear seats’ means something completely different to a Bentley buyer than anyone else. Any other car company advertising airline-style rear seats and it would mean something completely different...

Yep, just pointing out that vegetarian doesn’t automatically mean healthy. Most people do overeat meat, which is why reducing meat can lead to better health. But that doesn’t mean cutting it out entirely is the healthiest option. Just like someone who lives entirely on a 100% meat diet is probably very unhealthy on

I’m just questioning your assumption that a combination of feet and inches are easier to visualize than decimals. Since a lot of that could be cultural conditioning.

I’m not the sure about lengths, and feet actually being better for most measurements. One problem with feet, that I see is that you need to add a different unit to it.

You know, cheese pizza and potato chips are...vegetarian options. That tastes better than, healthy, poached chicken.

While I don’t disagree that reducing meat can be healthier, I think your example just pointed out that vegetarianism does not automatically mean a healthier diet. I know some vegetarians(for religious reasons) with truly awful diets. Technically, a cheese pizza and soda is completely 100% vegetarian. However, far

I got this right when it first came out. After less than a year, it just wouldn’t turn on anymore, and I had to send it back to Razer to get fixed. Didn’t have it for more than a month. After I got it back, 2 months in and the keyboard doesn’t work anymore. Quality control is not up to Macbook Pro standards (I got it

You know, DUI is a crime too.

Haha yea just went back to watch it. It’s hilarious.

I’d normally agree about you but in this context, someone doesn’t have to be “privileged” to argue that economics is not what’s keeping him in that living station because he’s talking about purchasing a luxury vehicle - a tesla. It’s not “privileged” to assume that someone with the financial means to purchase a

Try lawyers at bigger firms, bankers, etc.

By people, I think you mean you.

Your argument established a false equivalency - as in I work X number of hours a week + I cook, so everyone else who works X or less hours a week and doesn’t cook is lazy. My point is that’s only true if the only possible activities to do in a week is work + cook.

So, you’re just arguing about phrasing. When people say they don’t have time to cook, you just want to be pedantic, and want them to specify “I choose not to cook because my time is better spent elsewhere (i.e. working more, other tasks) and thus I don’t mind paying for it?”

I actually did link a study in the thread somewhere, showing that the proportion of people working more than 50 hours a week has risen, I can’t be bothered to search through all of it again - but it’s there.

They partially pay taxes, by cutting into profit margins - what proportion depends on the price inelasticity of that particular product.

I think there’s a division between the really new developments cropping up in the last year or so, and the developments in 2000-2010.

Well, yes, I think the key is people do recognize it, but aren’t able to take the time to appreciate it all the time with limited time resources.

Yes, similarly I think my responses have been affected by annoyance at ConLawHero (the I work 65 hours a week and have time to cook with my pressure cooker, so everyone else who doesn’t is automatically lazy guy).
