That's like saying why would you want to drive a Ferrari when you can just buy a Dodge Ram that has the same V8 engine. Just cuz at it has the same core, or function in nominally similar ways i.e. both have wheels and move...both oses load up browsers and productivity apps, doesn't mean that they're not substantially

Nah, that was a 20 year long period of mourning for Kim Il Sung, and next there'll be another 20 years of mourning for Kim Jong Il. All the North Koreans are VOLUNTARILY giving up power, food, drink etc. to mourn their beloved leader's passing. Pft you all know their Nuclear Fusion reactor gives them unlimited power,

One thing my friend noted was that western cuisine tends to use the flavour of fat really well, in a way that asian food does not. (I know it sounds bad, but as in the flavours of cheese, butter, cream, prime rib, mayonnaise, etc.) those are all taking advantage of the flavour in fat, that asian cuisines don't quite

I tend to reject or veer away from msg myself (well as I think an authentically good place can produce the required flavour from natural ingredients, and if any place has to rely on msg to get the same results, it's probably not that great)

I'd say almost definitely the opposite, asian sauces in general tend to use a far more diverse range of spices and flavours than western sauces (ok maybe the taste is for a 'thinner' one. But in Western sauces...like say gravy, the thickness comes from flour...which you can hardly count as a flavour and the tastes

Umm...seriously? Cucumber? That's gotta be the most benign smell anyone has ever complained of...in fact if it was cucumber it probably wasn't body odour at all but just a nice cucumber scented body wash he used or something. But either way, if you have that many people crammed into a tight space like an airplane

It would be better and a lot more legitimate if they just put a 'fake screenshot' of a rendered game, and have one blurry/no textures or shadows etc. and one clear- It'd have similar impact to this, giving the idea that a cheaper card gives blurrier graphics and it would actually be legitimate since with a crappy

I've generally found that apple products are just more user friendly and intuitive to use. This isn't a quantifiable figure but it makes a difference. I think the best comparison would be say cars, you can get a muscle car that just sticks the most powerful engine under the hood that can get you from 0-100 in 6

Hmm I'm male - and I majored in English and my girlfriends an engineer haha. So I understand the hilarity of the traditional bias. However, I do note that there's a pretty massive disparity in gender. (My so's research group however actually has more women than men interestingly)

And noone has really ntoed whether there may be a 'natural max'. Sort of like how I can exercise perfectly 16 hours a day - but may top out at running 100m in 15 seconds, whereas Usain Bolt can make it in 10. There's an upper limit to what my body can achieve.

I actually have a really low 'working memory' i.e. I can barely rmb what I had for dinner last night, and definitely cannot remember things like specific dates or formulae (there was an assignment where we had to remember a sonnet - it took me 4-5 hours to even get a rough rendition) But I compensated by

Yes but there's a finite amount of time and energy that people have. If Yo Yo Ma was spending 16 hours a day practicing, then theoretically a tone-deaf idiot could catch up if he spent 16000 hours a day- but it is not physically possible...so...effectively no - he can't catch up

It makes sense to me though. Everything else about a person - height, health, weight are somewhat affected genetically. How tall you're going to get, whether you'll have more stamina or more short bursts or strength, what kind of muscle mass you develop are all affected by your genetics. So are your predisposition to

In many ways I think the spotify model actually fits the market better than the old cd album or even the itunes model. Rather than dooming artists in the model world - I think rather this model would encourage artists to make music that has staying power, quality songs that stand the test of time. SO much music

I have a Nook Simple Touch and am thinking of getting Kindle Touch instead.

I wish they had one more button actually (goes against their idea of simplification) But I think it'd actually be useful to add a siri button, or even just a siri combination i.e. hold the home button and tap the power button?) It'd make it a lot more convenient to use without actually having to go into the app (and

super hi-definition is basically imax resolution and if you're publically showing it in DC i'm assuming it'll be roughly same size.

I would say the difference between a photographer-artist and someone who takes pictures is not equipment or using 'filters' but in intent. An artist takes a photo, composes it or uses different filters for reasons to convey a message, to bring out certain qualities, to capture a specific deeper moment/feelings.

Given how the court system is verryy biased towards giving women custody - if the guy has a case for getting FULL custody, let alone a decently split shared custody - then the 'incriminating evidence' he found on his wife was probably pretty serious. I'm speculating of course- but if the Judge decided to allow this
