do you accuse everyone smarter than you of cheating too?
It’s not a stretch to say “poor-as-fuck child of Nigerian immigrants suddenly gets diesel after becoming a millionaire, moving to Wisconsin, and working out all day.”
...Or a lanky, ungainly 6'9'’ 18 year old spent three years in an NBA weight room in a time span in which he also grew two inches
Counterpoint: You do realize that Giannis was all of 18 years old at the start of his rookie season, and at least two inches shorter than he is now at 21. And that this kind of shift in physique screams ‘skinny teenage kid becomes a man.’
I loved Rob Dibble on the Daily Show. Why is he talking shit to Carlos Gomez? Stick to acting.
except if ytou factor in the decreased lifetime of the car, autonomous or not, you will quickly find that its not an easy switch to something that will BE cheaper.
You can lease a Kia for $129/ month. Yet people pay $100,000 for cars like a MB S class. I guess it is not just about cost.
Cheaper and more convenient than what? Your own car?, or the poor excuse we call public transit.
“it doesn’t have to involve talking to anyone”
There will be drunk people and sick people throwing up in them. There will be people having sex and masturbating in them. I’m sure there will be incontinent people leaving puddles in them. Parents will leave their kid’s diaper in them. All the gross things people do on the bus and on the train, except more, because…
Uber is not as safe as a Taxi. Intact when the idea came up, I told my wife that I wouldn’t feel comfortable with her taking Uber, which was her thoughts exactly. But then she is used to London Taxis, the drivers of which are extremely well vetted.
The biggest BS is the idea that autonomous cars will really happen. In truth, the idea requires a level of computing that doesn’t exist, and won’t exist for at least a decade. The difference between Neural Networks and Conventional Computing is major, hence the reason that large Neural Networks are simulated and slow…
individuals and companies shift to ride-sharing, on-demand services, and autonomous technologies for personal transportation.
OH MY GOD! Thank you for sending me your link, Patrick. I am speechless. Near tears. Yes, a car signed by Mr. Burt Reynolds is nothing short of a work of art.
So what they are saying is a $250,000 rally car driven by a professional racecar driver is faster than a $60,000 Airel Atom driven by a automotive VJ, which is faster than a $25,000 bike driven by Ricky Gervais? Ok, got it.
I loved my ‘05 S cabrio. A blast to drive and a complete looker. I’m not down with the newer models though. Dislike the front end, the huge taillights, the pizza dish center speedo. Stop making everything bigger, “MINI.”
Doesn’t everybody buy a car with at least some considering of its styling? How is this Mini more of a “lifestyle” car than everything else? The video points out that it’s a good car, well designed, and a reasonable daily driver. What’s to hate? I’m not a Mini kind of person, but that’s just my taste.
Minis have nicer interiors and at least a token rear seat. The styling is way different, too, and some people prefer the Mini.
Anchorage isn't really close to the Arctic, a good chunk of AK is in fact in the Arctic Circle though.
