True man! I also hated that part where there was a trap door that lead to those curse frogs. That's what got me! It's good that they patched out the stacking curse effect. However, Tomb of the Giants and the Lost Izalith takes over as the most annoying levels in the game for me ater on. lol

I think it's an optional boss if you have the Master Key. You can just go straight to Blighttown. As for me, I had to go through him just to get the key to Blight. I had to fight him while cursed! Ack. Thankfully he's easy enough.. took me numerous tries though because I kept getting one-shotted.

What I'm worried about is that it might make people paranoid enough to slash/smash every statue that they come across, rendering the "camouflage feature" useless. Unless of course they fill the stages with a LOT of statues.

I'm with you, man. The Maneater battle was the most challenging for me in DS. Everyone was moaning about Flamelurker, but he never really posed much of a challenge for me. The Maneater(s) on the other hand.. I needed to exploit the stupid bonfire/big torch in the middle just to beat those monsters.
