Big name Kenyans have been caught doping recently and their entire running culture shown to promote doping, but that pales in comparison to the attention Rupp is getting based on accusations (no hard proof, just a bunch of people saying “I wouldn’t be surprised if....”) about his coach.
Oh yes, 600's. My long lost friend. Too bad that last 200 (really the last 25) is where you get the money.
Every pitcher removes their foot from the plate, it’s just a matter of when. I think that rule is the old Tom Glavine rule where he would start his motion without being in contact with the rubber.
800 meters on a tight indoor track is my hell.
I had a similar experience with the 800 but counter to this article negative splits were the key to my success. If I went out "quick" 54/55/56 I would inevitably blow up and run 2 flat regardless. However If I backed off and ran a "paced" 59/60/61 I could negative split the second lap and run well under 2 flat. I…
I don't dislike this idea, I still think you need a way to adjust for superstar vs bench warmer.
I don't disagree with you, I was lucky enough to get a scholarship because I had a talent. However, these are state/federally funded institutions. I want to see the lawsuit that arises from the star female volleyball player getting paid less than the red shirt QB as a state employee. The smart move is to classify…
Its not akin to oil field workers and minimum wage workers, it's closer to two engineers at the same state/federally funded job on different projects. They would be classified as the same type of employee and would be paid the same or similar. It's not hard to forsee the star female volleyball player suing the school…
They don't do that already? If they pay football players 3x as much they won't cut the track team, or golf, or cross country to make that happen?
I was a former collegiate athlete (nothing revenue generating like basketball or football) that used to think paying athletes was laughable. I was getting free food, housing, education, and getting to travel the country for free. I could have been working in the oil field making a lot more money, but also doing…
Scout: So we run a hybrid offense where the QB is mobile, but also needs to accelerate the game at any time?
At this point, why fucking not!?!
It's not legal or illegal in California. The law isn't defined which is where most problems start because everyone thinks they are right and they sort of are right when an accident happens.
It is a terrible place.
I only get upset when a biker clips my mirror on the way by and keeps going. It has happened ~20 times and they have never stopped. I saw a guy clip a mirror which caused him to fall between two stopped cars and kick the car HE clipped because HE wrecked. He then got up and kept going.
But they never mind my goddamn mirrors. Everytime! They clip one then keep going like no big deal.
So now I'll only have scrapes on my left side mirror that require touch up paint, thanks considerate bikers.
So his team, and the league, for his well-being, need to let him play? That's BS and he needs to get his shit together. He's not a child, there are 1,000's of kids that want his spot on that roster more than he does so it should go to one of them. He was given many gifts and he continues to waste them.
