I don’t mean to be a Debbie Downer, but that will have to be kept to the imagination: VP only swears in new Senators, not Reps. (And I believe both of those ladies are Reps.)

pretty sure that Trump was planning this for a while, appearances and consequences be damned. He *really* hates Sessions.

He is literally going to get a reporter killed. I wish they’d all turn their backs and walk out. Let him talk to an empty room with no cameras or microphones.

It bugs me that people keep saying that Sessions was fired. He resigned, although he was asked to. This is a big difference because resigning means that Trump can appoint someone, which he did, without Senate confirmation. If he fired him that would not be the case. It’s a relatively minor detail but when reporting

What a weird word salad.

I will say this — my friend voted in FL today.

I’ve already seen some people say that Gillum lost because he campaigned with Hillary Clinton and wasn’t committed enough to Medicare for all.  If some so-called progressives can’t be bothered to vote against a racist because the other guy failed to pass the purity test, then I don’t know what to say.

Democrats won the House and the House controls the budget.

Rick Scott is not DeSantis. I mean, he’s horrible, but he’s not DeSantos horrible. If a generic Republican had won I wouldn’t be alarmed, but DeSantis winning reinforces the idea that it’s likely not just dislike of Hillary Clinton that motivated Florida voters in ‘16. They’d have to actively like this Trump schtick

BUT BUT BUT

I’m feeling a lot of pain for Gillum’s unexpected loss, unexpected for all of the “experts” and pundits anyway.

“Let me tell you how I know. Because this is Texas,” Cruz said. “And a horde of invading zombies from the liberal coast can’t change the fact that in Texas it is in our DNA to defend freedom!”

And I better not be seeing ANY of these people taking from Social Security or Medicaid, either - they’d be HYPE-O-CRITTERS if they do so....

“It’s not gonna work. We’re too intellectual, we’re too smart for that, you know?”

If these people are so scared of socialism, someone should tell them not to vote then. By voting, they are participating in socialism

“And I was like, why can’t we get a Cheesecake Factory, or a P.F. Chang’s or a Houston’s? We have areas that have high incomes, so what’s the deal?”

Canadian here, rooting for you all!

My friend’s water broke this morning but she stopped to vote on the way to the hospital. Her daughter is going to be fierce as fuck!

I voted last week (yay early voting!), and there was more of a line than there was in 2016 (also early voting). I’m in a solidly blue district in Maryland, so there aren’t likely to be any surprises (unless there’s a miracle and we don’t re-elect our “moderate” Republican governor, which would be amazing), but I’m
