I 100% believe Tom Arnold because I’ve seen Mark Burnett’s temper and it is insane. The guy is completely fucking nuts. And Roma, while I don’t think she’s “psycho”, behaves like a brainwashed, meek, subservient Christian bible wife. I would not be surprised if it came out that he was abusive to her. 

Tom Arnold brawling with people I’ve never heard of is the kind of no-stakes drama we need to get back to in this country.

I am inclined to believe Soon-Yi in the sense that I believe that she’s being sincere and truly believes the words that are coming out of her mouth, I can also believe that Woody Allen has done some serious brain washing and that she’s a victim of it. 

I would argue it almost makes it worse if Farrow was extremely abusive. That her notion of appropriate boundaries was already so fucked up...ugh. This is bad shit.

It’s in the same creepy-ass ballpark, Tim. Grown Men shouldn’t fuck with teenagers either, because they can’t on an emotional level and usually on a financial level be equals with the actual goddamn adult in the situation. The shades of grey on this is not as diverse as creeps try to make it seem. It’s gross!

I have no idea what kind of parent Mia Farrow is. But even if she was awful, that doesn’t excuse Allen’s behaviors. Even if you set aside the accusation from Dylan (and I don’t think we should), Allen began an affair with his de facto stepdaughter when she was a teenager.

Not to mention that the chores seem terrible for affluent kids, but not all kids. Many kids are given responsibilities of cleaning and homemaking as a part of the family unit.

Their entire “love story” is a textbook case of grooming. If her claims of abuse by Mia are true, far from discrediting the idea that he groomed Soon-Yi, it would have made her a more likely target. Abusers will often pose as “saviors” to get troubled children to trust them. He’s scum.

The only way I can deal with Soon Yi is assuming she’s got a monster case of PTSD-y Stockholm Syndrome. Or maybe some other psychological issue I don’t know the name of. Allen Syndrome. Something. Whatever syndrome you get when your guardian grooms you and explosively alienates you from your family and marries you and…

Jesus. He groomed her. It's as clear as day. After reading those excerpts (I'd really rather not give the article a page view), I can't see how anyone could doubt Dylan Farrow's story.
