Stephen basically confirmed on twitter that they didn't want to split the vote because then Savage and Joe could have flipped to the girls to vote him out.

That was to Stephen over his upset at not winning reward – so for once, not an Abi-Maria provocation.

Has it ever been discussed what would happen if all votes were negated by idols? If they'd voted for Jeremy, and he caught wind and played his idol, what happens? Revote between everyone else? No one goes home?

(ps, it would be hilarious if it turned out that the reason Jeremy didn't play his idol is that he was so sure he was safe he didn't even have it with him)

What's interesting is that the other voice of reason in that scene, advocating for keeping Stephen, was Spencer. From being nearly voted out by Savage 2 votes ago, he's now in a position within his alliance to be in on the strategic discussions?

Or, alternatively, to remain appealing for other people to come to you with offers.

I don't think Kass and Ciera's actions last week really had a huge bearing on things this week - or at least, didn't matter that much in the grand scheme of their placing in the game.

For all we know Stephen's spent YEARS rehearsing the tribal council speech he should have made against JT, and he's damn sure going to use it now…

I think Kass went after Tasha for exactly the same reason she and Ciera went after Woo the week before – there's no point keeping a player around who is never going to work with you.

Imagine if Tasha and Spencer make final 3…and Kass gives the winning vote to Spencer.

And I mean, credit to Savage for holding it in in camp and only losing his rag in confessional. That's more subtlety than I thought he had, genuinely.

Didn't we all?

I've a feeling we were supposed to read that as a genuine effort on Spencer's behalf to communicate to someone as equals. Somehow…

Jeff, reading the votes:

Ugh, I thought the last few seasons had been totally spoiler-free. Fingers crossed it turns out to be incorrect later.

Spencer is simultaneously a very lucky and a very unlucky player, but I think you have to give him a tiny bit of credit here. He's consistently on the bottom, but the last three times he's been to tribal council, despite being in danger, he's managed to do just enough to either get the target on someone else, or be

I think it's a basic hand-eye coordination issue with him, possibly exacerbated by poor eyesight. Like, I can dance, ride a horse and climb, but I can't catch a ball.

Did he have his glasses on?

Crispy frog vs baked beans and hash browns: I'm eating the frog.

Can someone do me a gif of Malcolm going "Oil up, Bro"?
