Reminds me a bit of the arc of Ultimate Spider-Man where they literally had the Sam Rami Spider-Man production in there, Jay and Silent Bob strike back style. It was during Spidey 2, so Ock was the baddie. It was hilarious.

There was no way you expected it to be a character that we had never seen before or knew existed. The doctor’s wife would have been a better blind guess than a son who was outside the city when the explosions happened.
