The analogy is for the difference between Snyder and Whedon playing madlibs on the same movie (Justice League) in spite of having totally different styles, both visual and writing style alike (the same way Del Toro and the Russos have totally different styles).

I don’t believe they even really worked in reverse! They just took Marvel’s route, truncated it, and rushed it out the window while the chicken was still raw. (I say this as one of the few fans of Man of Steel and Batman V Superman).
