Wait, though. There are a lot of non-black cultures that use the word “brother” and “cousin” that have nothing to do with being anything like that white dude on the bus appropriating the word. English monks, for example, refer to each other as brother all the time. And a lot of different Asian countries use brother or

There’s enough incest and darkness in Turin and Nienor’s story (which clearly influenced GRR Martin’s writings” that it could come full circle and have the new show influenced by the GOT show as well

As much as Tolkien would have hated Peter Jackson’s “The Hobbit” trilogy, he would probably hate a Disney-fied version of Beren and Luthien even more.

And in contrast, here I am - active since 2011 (I think), generally trying to be kind to everyone while adding thoughtfulness (even if it disagrees with whom I reply to) to the conversation, and forever (FOREVER) in the greys.

Right? The only black person that wasn’t dead and stood out to my memory was the kid reading the Freighter book at the newsstand.

So, very loosely in the back of my mind, I thought, “so if it is someone from the original it might be that dude.”

Based on everything written in this post, it doesn’t sound like Taylor Swift even had anything to do with it.

For anyone who hasn’t already, and who find things like this interesting, I highly recommend reading his book of Letters. It’s just him talking (in the form of collected letters, obviously, to many different people through different decades of his life) and giving a lot of insight similar to this, regarding his

“Well, same goes with Natasha here... She’s not back. Her corpse is still rotting somewhere, her mind and soul gone. This here is a clone body, loaded with a back up copy of her memories. A whole new entity, newly born, who just thinks she’s Natasha.”

Well, now you’re just going into philosophical debate territory,

Now playing

Leather’s meant to provide a layer of protection against the pavement for bikers in case they wipe out and crash. So I imagine it could withstand a single strike from barbwired bat. (Unless Negan’s wearing pleather from Hot Topic or Macy’s, but that doesn’t seem his style)

It’ll be like the Slytherin-Gryffindor rivalry all over again! Not every Slytherin member was a Death Eater!

I can’t even honestly say that we can fairly call Avengers a crossover. The whole thing was made to be a connected movie universe to begin with. It’s like saying “Cool, Luna Lovegood finally crossed over with Harry Potter in the HP5 movie.”

The only “Avengers crossover” I’m excited for is if Jessica Jones and Luke

YESSSS! Oh, god, please don’t be one of those common villains that are so-called nemesisesesses(sp?) that get killed off right away in one movie. I hope they develop something across multiple movies, like Harry in Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy, and Loki and Lex Luthor in the more recent comic book movies.

(Side note,

Coincidentally, I stopped watching around 2010/2011 because of unrelated (busy life etc etc) reasons. And even back then I was playing catch-up by marathoning 2007-2010 in large binge-doses at a time.

Then, recently, I was considering starting catching up again on what I missed between 2011 and 2017. And holy cow:

“Who

I agree.

“fanfiction did what the books couldn’t” is a bit off the mark. It should be more like “fanfiction did what the books didn’t feel necessary for the mythology within the chapters of LOTR.”

Tolkien’s aim was to create a mythology that the modern world had been lacking for some time and the story of the Lord of

The guy at the next urinal was so amazed that he looked over to me and said, “So is this based on a novel or something?”

Well, crap. I thought we were supposed to turn that option ON.

...screenwriter Geneva Robertson-Dworet discussed keeping a comedic tone for Carol Danvers in the script.

I loved the first Wonder Woman, and I think this could be great.

How could it be even greater? Don’t kill off major villains right away, especially not with villains who work best as having a long history with the hero, like Cheetah. Can’t have a long-time nemesis if you keep getting them in one go.

The rare instance

I’m pretty sure David Thewlis’s mustache was real

I didn’t even catch that! Plus, it’s normal mode.
