TIL that not all Gawker Media writers are in love with Love Actually. Which reminds me that I didn’t watch it at Christmas this year.

Judging by their username, I’m guessing it’s a troll account.
Regardless, you make a very fair point. It’s almost always best for a person to write from their own perspective because that’s what we understand best.
If I said, “My family has been having financial trouble lately,” it’d be weird for someone to come up to…
Never? But they just did.
True fact. But I would accept this entry because I think they are clearly leaning more on the official release of the first Iron Man movie (which is what these kinds of lists usually center around) which launched the MCU franchise, and which released in 2008.
Just goes to show how greedy this government of ours has become.
I’m reading everything you write in a butchered accent now (yes, it’s butchered even in my head, I’m sure)
“I agree, but if the repeated plot is “Mon-El is a jerk, but he becomes a better person at the end” and he’s a jerk that doesn’t seem to have learned a lesson again in the next episode, then the character is presented as inconsiderate/unlearning/selfish.”
Oh hey, that’s very similar to my perspective that I wrote in…
“It’s just that the writers gave him the same subplot 4 episodes in a row: “Mon-El acts like a douche. Kara tells him to stop. Mon-El doesn’t listen. Kara is hurt by it. Mon-El learn his lesson and apologize.”
This is exactly why I hate him. He was fine in the last few episodes of season 2. He was decent and was no…
It’s worth noting that beyond this duology, with issues #39 and #40 they continue with Superfriends parts 3 and 4 with Wonder Woman. So don’t count Diana and Steve as missing just yet!
But then again, around Feb last year, nearly a year into the Rebirth line and during the “Superman Reborn” story arc, the two versions of Superman were merged and reality and memories were merged along with him.
Nothing specific was mentioned as to what exactly was merged and what was not, but we’re obviously learning…

Gotdammit. Thank you. And here I thought I was having a normal conversation about comics.
Nah, that’s what discussions are for.
And as someone else said, there’s no way to catch up on all the lore unless you have absolutely nothing else to do but read comics.
The most fun way is to pick a character you like, and then pick either an old arc to read through (most are usually 5 or so issues, which are usually…
I highly doubt they’re going to retcon anything already established in MCU stuff.
I think Crews200 is referring to a recent thing in the comics where Wolverine made a surprise appearance in the Marvel Legacy one-shot as being alive and well in current continuity (he had died previously a few years ago).
I don’t think they were referring to anything film/tv-related, live-action or otherwise
Right? Like, I’m gonna go out of my way to a Riverdale thread (which I don’t watch or follow at all) and say “I’m so not into this, wake me up when a Friends reunion is on”
Aw man, please, no. I admit he’s gotten at better at acting out his emotions since he first started doing movies and stuff, but he still can’t really act like a different person. He’s always playing the same character.

Seriously though, this makes me sad and I’m afraid of the further taint that will fall upon the Tolkien Legendarium. More Sexy Shelobs and unnecessary love triangles and skateboarding Legolases, here we go.
A little while after Journey first came out, I really really wanted for them to put some version of it on Vita, especially with how much I liked Flower on Vita too (even after having played it on PS3 to begin with).
Looking at this makes me sad about that missed opportunity to have Journey on it. I mean, I get that…
