‘they need to be about a page a minute.’
‘they need to be about a page a minute.’
Roma got a fairly solid limited release, including international markets. As far as low budget films it was a pretty solid release.
Plus it’s not like Smith is making these billion dollar blockbusters and pushing her as the lead to make her an A-lister. His films have always had abit of that ‘get all my friends and family in to help me’ vibe (cause that’s how he started.) So it makes sense that his films would feature his daughter once she took an…
‘Oh Darren is going away for a long long time’
She confirmed the song was a leftover from the Tell Me How You Really Feel sessions, so I think we’re still awhile away from a new album as she’s been pretty busy touring her last album since its release.
You do realize that there was a vocal subset of Queen fans that used to insist that Freddie was straight? (Before his death.)
Or that the ‘I Want to Break Free’ video was banned on US broadcasters because of the queer connotations attatched to drag.
(And when they performed the song in Rio Freddie even got booed by…
I think the bigger loss, by the sounds of it, are the outtakes and early takes that didn’t make it to the final album. Because by the sounds of it these masters would’ve been all the studio work they recorded for Nevermind- so everything off the final album will be digitised and available in some form. But all the…
But they still made up their own endings for Endgame (As far as I know Tony, Cap and Black Widow’s storyarcs for the film aren’t based on any comic run.) And those arcs were informed more by the work they had done for the characters in the MCU films, not the comics.
That’s probably closer to the truth- as the story explaining the white face is one of the more fictional elements of the film.
We got a reasonable amount of Mick Ronson footage with adding lead guitar during some of Dylan’s performances, just none of his solo slots, and a tiny bit of Ramblin’ Jack doing a Woody Guthrie cover.
...Not really, the Marvel movies basically took inspiration from the comics and did their own thing. So it’s not like the GoT showrunners were in to different a position from the Endgame filmmakers. There’s no story they directly adapted for Endgame- they just took inspirtation from a couple and then did their own…
And Broadchurch! He brings such a different energy to his role as Alec Hardy, but him and Olivia Colman are a delight together!
In this episode they subtly reference the Queen gag- Crowley puts a CD labelled ‘Mozart’ into the player, and it morphs into ‘I’m in love with my Car’ as the scene progresses.
Yeah like Ashcroft has talked in the recent past about not having any issues with Jagger/ Richards and specifically having problems with ABCKO. (He was even a support act on their tour last year.)
Just worth mentioning that Andrew Oldman wasn’t that one that wrote that string part- all the arrangements were done by David Whittaker, Oldman just put his name on the cover. So the irony is the man who actually came up with the arrangement of the string part probably got nothing, while Oldman got a small share,…
...They didn’t just mix in some of his vocals, they straight up used his vocals.
Pheobe Weller-Bridge has been announced as one of the writers of this film, which makes me very excited as Fleabag and Killing Eve are outstanding.
Going by what Wright has said, and what information we had on why he left, I don’t think that was the case. He talked about being aware he had to fit in with the broader MCU. The far bigger problem seemed to be that Marvel wanted their own writers to overhaul the script less than a month before shooting...and Wright…
I’d say it was more about being stripped back and focussing on being grounded, rather being about no humour. One of the things that really works about Casino Royale is the sense of humour the film has (which was something they unfortunately lost abit of when doing QoS and Skyfall.)
I’d argue it served as the undercurrent for why he created Ultron. He has an exchange with Dr. Cho at the start about wanting to retire and see his suits gather dust, and he justifies the creation of Ultron as being about creating a defence for the Earth so it would no longer need the Avengers...and then the movie…
