He was a GM designer before, I don’t recall if he takes claim or the 1971-1973 Boat tail Riviera or if he disavows it.

There is alot of 2nd gen 929 in that shape

If I recall from reading about this car at the time, this was supposed to be aimed at Japans aging population, hence its airy green house, fairly flat seats and simple strip speedometer and controls.

I think he was, he did the J30 from what I recall, it was a Nissan Cali Design center project.

You can put the car in L or N and it will stay running, or just take your foot on and off the brake once, or keep the a/c and max/recirc and it usually won’t shut off either.

As much as I love the DB, I’ve also really had enough of it showing up in every Bond movie since Brosnan, enough, why not bring back an 85 year old Honor Blackman for Bond to bang too........

He doesn’t even drive this damn thing, its not a Bond Car, its a car in a Bond movie.

It interesting to see how much Connery aged between YOLT and DAF, and at that point, he was still younger than Moore and younger than Craig is today.....

I warmed up to him as Bond, but they could have done so much better with the rest of the movies.

I though he would have been a good choice, I preferred him over Craig. It was almost like those BMW Films were his Bond audition tape, but he didn’t make it.......

The whole “Hoonigan” term just bugs me, its like “malaise”, once they found out how to spell it correctly, it was just like every other word in an article.......

Tan Ciera! Tan Ciera!!

Until recently the current G-Wagen was from 1979 and they were charging $100K plus for them, at least this thing was only $14,995.

Sedans had it for longer, the last DTS’ had it too, he was referring to coupes though.

Cobra Sofa, I love that term.......so correct.

I thought it was Le CB......

The 95-99 Riviera that came after this still had a 6 seater option in the early cars, as did the Regal, Monte Carlo and Grand Prix for a few more years, I think a bench was still even available on the cira 2000 Monte Carlo too.

Whats your handicap?

Where is this from??

Bingo, plus the wheels.
