Michael, “protects”, not “protests”.

Uh, sources?

Please enjoy sex with the most important person in the world to you.

Right? If this was a book you’d put it down by page 20 as too unbelievable.

I read the second link. It doesn’t support your point. The only critical remark regarding curent (as of 2014) models is this:

Have AWD as an option (preferably rear-biased), or fuggedaboutit. All its lux and near-lux competitors have AWD as an option. For some of us it’s a deal-killer. And yada-yada-yada snow tires. Yes, I know snow tires are great. No, I’m not gonna put them on for an entire winter to deal with the 5 days it snows around

See Green Thunder’s reply. Abrahams served until 1/31/2005, the day Bodman took office. So Bush did not leave the office vacant, unlike what Trump is doing.

SEA fan here, and he didn’t lose that game. Even gimpy he had us beat; it was the slide on the interception, the muffed onside kick, that lost that game.

Huh? I know CGI Tarkin’s performance isn’t Cushing’s; he’s dead. That’s the whole point. Someone copied his performance. You think it’s okay. We don’t. To run your thought experiment: When the animation seeks to mimic Cushing’s performance, it crosses the ethical line unless he gives permission for it. The crudity of

It’s not the same thing. A portrait isn’t being offered as a substitute for an actor’s performance. Here, the CGI is being used to substitute for Cushman’s performance. It’s not like the movie had an actor talking behind a Peter Cushing mask (which I wouldn’t object to because it would be too funny).

Haven’t seen them; can’t comment.

You mean, the Bills can’t even bench a player right?

You’re not reading the arguments. I don’t oppose use of CGI to replicate an actor’s performance. I reject doing so without that artist’s permission.

He was being polite. You don’t have to take my word (or Gambon’s) for it: Compare Harris’s performance and Gambon’s. They’re different, and Gambon isn’t trying to convince the audience that he’s actually Richard Harris. He watched Harris’s performance, and included some elements in his performance of the Dumbledore

Yes, they’re artists. But we’re talking about a different artist here: Peter Cushing. A painter who can fake Renoir doesn’t get a free pass just because she’s an “artist”, too. Recognizing the skill and artistry of the ILM folks doesn’t make the rerpoduction of Cushing any more ethical than it is.

I appreciate the thoughtful response. I don’t think I agree with your last point about the costs, but I don’t have the research to back that up.

“Real scientists never say science is settled.” Not quite. It’s possible that if I warm a body of water it won’t expand, but so far it’s happened in all of the billions of times it’s occurred that we’ve observed. It’s possible that CO2 doesn’t trap heat, but it’s happened every time anyone’s ever tested it. It’s

I still don’t understand specifically what the “skeptics” are debating:

In high school I had a ‘67 with the base engine and 3-speed manual. I resent the accuracy of your remark lol.
