It was actually the first car me and my wife bought together, and we gambled on it a bit. It really had that “ran when parked” look, with lots or sun damage, but it ran and passed an inspection so we figured we’d be able to DD it while at the same time fixing all the damaged stuff. We were not, and after 6 years with

I stand corrected.

I will, because as you can see my knowledge of the company has to do with its automotive roots and the whole motorsport side of it. I would’ve never guessed those later developments.

Fun fact: I was lucky enough to have owned a Matra-built automobile, a 1989 Renault Espace Quadra. Amazing automobile despite the

I love the P34. It should be noted that the team actually wanted to keep developing the project but Goodyear wasn’t willing to do proper development work for the bespoke front tires. In recent years I remember there being a 1977 P34 doing pretty well in the historic F1 championships using custom made (and properly

I don’t doubt this for a second. The past really is a foreign country.

Yeah. Hindsight is 20/20, right? Sold it and a couple other cars (one being a 1275 Cooper, which you’ll no doubt feel my pain on ;)...) to scrape together the down on a house though, so it was a means to an end at the time.

It needed the front seats retrimmed and an AC compressor but ran like a train. It

The turbo 75 motor is based on the original Alfa twin cam.

Blowing oil out the filler sounds like hogh crankcase pressure. Is your PCV valve working?

He was killed by a Ford while driving a 550 Spider, which is closer to a Boxster, but I agree about the boomers.

Volumex was just what Fiat (or abarth, technically, I think) named the supercharger. It’s a Volumex R18 supercharger on both the 037 and Delta S4.

Volumex just refers to the supercharger.

i know I’m supposed to like it, but to me is just an ultra vulgar waste of an M-715. it’s taking actual heritage and turning into some kind of video game reimagined fantasy heritage. tons of hard work and beautiful craftsmanship for certain but the end result is not for me at all.

This story reminded me of a last minute trip I made from San Francisco to Salt Lake City hauling backdrop materials for a trade show that the printshop was late in producing. I ordered an SUV over the phone, but when I showed up, all the rental place had were sedans and one Ford Focus hatchback. Rather than waste

There wasn’t an 8-cylinder GTV sold to the public.  And this is on the GA platform, so it’s a 4 series, not 8
