A friend of mine hunts with a Ruger Mini-14, similar to many ways to an AR-15, and as long as your aim is true and your bullet expands (by law, in my state, you MUST use an expanding round) it’ll hunt just fine. Same with an AK; unless it’s in very poor condition it’ll 10" group at 100 yards no problem.
