I love when people use this. They generally have no understanding of its meaning nor do they understand basic statistics. They just spout it cause they heard it and they think it negates all arguments. 

I think this is why I became such a stingy cheap scrooge. Once all my kids were out of preschool, I got addicted to the excess funds going into my account. Even then though, $1000/month for a vehicle just is a weird psychological barrier.

Again, all legal payouts for misconduct should be paid out of the pension fund and not taxpayers. If taxpayers get no say in who’s hired/fired, then they should have zero financial responsibility for idiots.
