The courting of the red state. In other words (In my Kanye West voice) ABC didn’t care about black audiences. It was probably easier to push Barris with their new found concerns out as a part of the black purge.  No more Shonda, no more Barris, no more black viewership to be offended by right leaning shows.

Mixed people will just say that they transcend race, like a bunch of Visions created by Ultron.

...yeah, considering that Miles Morales is likely to be a Spiderman in the sequel, yeah, the game with the black/latino son of a cop miiiight just have an opportunity to say a few things on the subject. >_>

Yeah, this is a good chance to think about how superheroes dovetail with the real world and what that means especially for one of NYC’s best.

It definitely doesn’t mean Pete needs to stop being an idealist or that Yuri needs to give an hour long civics lesson. But given the world we live in, I think even comic-book

Thanks for writing this. It’s not really a perspective I’ve taken the time to consider before. I’ve not really considered how authority is portrayed in our games, really, much less how it’s shifting. Likewise with the general portrayal of those who have been labelled by authority as in violation of the law.

It’s still a fun game.

Yeaaaa.... that argument re: their pricing is pure unadulterated BS. It’s $60 this year, it’ll be $80 next year, and $120 the next. Every festival that starts off free then later starts charging eventually becomes like every other identical festival out there.

Said no one to that man’s face

She’s one of the most unfairly criticized, and mistreated athletes in her profession. What you call “worship” others call balancing the scale to the poor treatment she often receives

I always speak softly and carry a big bag that I use to slam into people who get to close

OK so why does the whistle remind me of Burn Hollywood Burn?

My man coming with the deep cuts!

TIMMY used to drink his Timmy-tinis with Tabitha the witch and I would get my life. Passions is an unsung classic.

I’m not. This is just stupid, and there are many ways beyond using a potentially lethal device to wake an unresponsive person. This is at the maturity level of me poking my brother in the ear with the end of a broken Hula Hoop to wake him up...when I was 9.

It’s always white folks. Always. Even if I’m obliging them by getting out of the way, they will reach out and touch or stroke me. Stop fucking touching me, you don’t own my body.

I have a terminal case of resting bitch face so i can not understand why strangers want to be close to me in public. There is never a reason why i need your belly button to be touching my back when all i want to do is buy this bag of leafy greens that are just gonna rot in my fridge.

Or could you maybe take a step back and realise this semantic “issue” is not one that needs solving? Because, words and meaning are ultimately both pointless and arbitrary, and not as important as people being killed? For no goddamn reason? Maybe? Fuck, dude

Wouldn’t it be nice to see a woman really claiming her pursuit of pleasure?

It’s also telling that sex workers are cast aside in this narrative. Allen was, as she wrote in her Instagram post, in a “dark time” but now she’s moved on. She doesn’t “do it anymore.” She’s “not proud.” What about those sex workers who helped her in that “dark time” and served as “an outlet”? After all, the fact of

I don’t know if calling her time with sex workers a “dark time” that she doesn’t do anymore - I don’t know if that description disparages sex work necessarily. Saying you were having a dark time and seeing a therapist doesn’t disparage therapy work. Sexual healing is still healing. If people want to see a sex worker
