You just reminded me of Driver: San Francisco. That was WAY better than it had any right to be.

Bummed I didn’t see the QOTD (this is why you guys need to wait to publish these lists.....) so here’s some of my favs.

If we’re going by pure playtime, then I guess mine would be Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator. I’ve got hundreds of hours combined in those two.

Dirt Rally and Dirt Rally 2.0 in VR are just sublime.

Dirt Rally 2.0 is the Dark Souls of racing games.
I play it with a wheel and and VR and the challenge is always there.

That game is why I firmly believe that racing without VR is flat. You can get real fear and immersion inside the headset.

Spy Hunter.

My not be a modern one anymore, but growing up, I had the most fun with the Burnout series of games. Really loved Burnout Paradise especially since they remastered it and I’ve been playing it again, but my favorite still to this day is probably Burnout 3. I spent so many hours playing that game!

Tomy Turnin’ Turbo Dashboard. I probably played 3 years straight of this.

Yeah but imagine how much more boring *everyone’s* life would be if David Tracy was a sensible man.

I threw logic out the window when I quit my engineering job to write about cars. lol

Someone will release a car which everyone here will hate because of the stupid grill, the rest of the car will be fine though.

Not an expert, very possibly wrong, but I suspect it’s a reference frame issue.

but I promise I’m not dead

Thanks for doing the legwork on that.

Whoa! That’s grim! I’m drawn to the language “supposed wife” and the fact that she seemed to know he exited the aircraft while in flight raises questions. It seems to be a planned suicide. How much did his supposed wife know ahead of time? Was there a note?

I was expecting some juicy true crime details from “supposed wife.” Alas, all I found in other stories was that she stated she’s his wife and was trying to get him declared deceased because insurance companies for the plane and such were lighting her up.

The non rich don’t have the money or incentive to convert their cars, not right now anyway. Only the rich do, thus the conversions will be limited to the rich until something changes socially.

In better shape than half of your collection?

So how long do you think before you take it to Moab?

We bought a Subaru Outback from Carvana a couple years back. It was mostly ok.
