1st gear: I am not shocked that there are unintended consequences to a government regulation that was written by people who do not understand what they seek to regulate.

None of us can quite grasp the panic Torch must have felt after damaging his favorite part of his most cherished vehicle.
I’m glad to see that he was able to fix them.
Although, obtaining replacement Pao tail lights would have made a great series of articles.

C&D also found the Veloster N engine pretty tight initially. It was considerably quicker at 40k miles. Also didn’t have all the damage and destruction to the wheels, tires, and brakes the Civic R had.

N Sound Equalizer (NSE) is a virtual engine sound.... This allows the driver to hear a more realistic and dynamic engine sound while driving.

i kind of care about what HD is trying to do to survive. i admit it’s morbid curiosity, but i’m interested.

Literally nobody knows how much a kilowatt of force is. Deal with it.

That’s not really what I’m saying though.

Ford can afford Ivyplus-trained business consultants to tell them that the bad PR is not worth the short term gain.

Jeep Wrangler Sport.

The Kia Stinger. Nothing but rave reviews but they’re discounted to hell because no one wants to drop $40-50k on a Kia. I think Kia’s sold fewer than 50,000 since 2018.

Technically it’s only on sale in the US for the rest of July, but I’m going with the BMW i3.

There are many cars that are still better vehicles, more of the time, for more people.

The Land Cruiser is vastly outdated compared to the peers. At that price point, people want nicer things. Nice off roader, robust, slow, underpowered, extra thirsty, technology a decade or two behind. Only the cults pay that much money. The car is not underrated. It’s outdated.

Now playing

Is the spirit of this a car that is not critically acclaimed nor a hot seller? So the Challenger GT popped in my head. It’s essentially the drivetrain of a Grand Cherokee put into a retro muscle car package. So, no, not a muscle car. But yes, a good daily driver. Good looking and practical for us northerners.

Have you ever driven one?

There’s nothing *super* special about it, but I really appreciate that it exists:  Toyota Corolla Hatchback 6MT.  It’s on my short list of next purchase now that there’s no longer a 6MT Accord.
