i dont have a particular dream motorcycle, but i really want to be a part of a grom or ruckus/scooter crew that rides around locally in typical motorcycle gang fashion.

From everything I’ve heard, it sounds like it doesn’t need more power; it needs lower gearing. My ‘91 Miata only had 115 hp (and probably not even that after a quarter-million miles), but it still felt sprightly beause of the low gearing (4.30:1 in the rear axle, if I recall). Granted, it was turning almost 4000 RPM…

I test drove one. I’m a large person and the salesman with me was even bigger. In the middle of the test I was accelerating decently and decided to see what it would do flat out....to my dismay I already was flat out.

That’s actually a common myth about them, they definitely aren’t dieseling through the traps these days.

They only run for about 4 seconds before they need a rebuild.

RE performance:

Here in Texas the “I NEED a pickup truck” bros are particularly abundant. Big ol’ 4WD models w/o a scratch on ‘em (either from actual off-roading or hauling anything in the bed).

Coolest car they make, but I get it. The standard GT engine is creeping up on gt350 performance and revs pretty high it’s self, plus those voodoo engines do not have a good reputation for reliability.

This new version isn’t even believably reacting to the scene with Otto. 

I really liked this version of Peter as an experienced, late career Spider-Man. This makes him look too young.

Not everyone commutes on the highway. Even if you do, there are likely non-highway routes to get around that. Why would you say that it’s impossible to commute on a Grom? Just because it doesn’t fit your needs?
