Good news: America peddles in Thoughts and Prayers.

Well hell. Thought it was a one-off thing. Had this problem on my original, launch-date joycon about six months. Figured I just played the bajeezus out of it, bought a $10 replacement stick, and went on my merry way... until it wasn’t working again five months later. Fine, bought a new joy con, sent that one in for

Heads up: I picked up a solidly trashed 101 on ebay for $40. Worked, just looked like nine butts. Bought an minty fresh orange spice shell for $12, and a glass lens for $8. transplanted the whole thing effortlessly, and now have spicy new (looking) 101 for $60.

Gentle reminder that Nintendo is one of the only console manufacturers to turn a profit on hardware sales. 47.3% is still a solid profitshare of the potential market. For Sony or Microsoft, that would be one helluva loss.

For folks wondering how this qualifies as ‘adult’: it’s likely based on the modern comics, which are a surprisingly solid read. Think Riverdale vs OG Archie.

well now THAT was just FANTASTIC!

Watched the Jimmy Kimmel/Danny Glover interview last night. In it, they rapidily spring a clip of Hakuna Matata without any setup whatsoever. There was no chance to steel my nerves for what was to come. It was the most haunting and terrifying thing I’ve yet experienced.

WHAT’S UP, SPOOKY NERD?!!

Well shit. As someone working to learn the language to deal with my own bag of related rocks, I’d be interested to see how this is handled here.  Guess i’ll pick this up over the weekend and try it out...

Damn.  I was travelling and legit forgot about the Steam sale after the first day. what an unearthly shitshow.

Counterpoint:

That entire scene disarmed the viewers for the tragedy to come.

didn’t say anything about anyone being antisocial. I was (and still largely am) unfamiliar with any MMORPG, and these were my first proper go’s at it.

daaaaaaaaaaaaamn that sucks.  Thanks for the head’s up!

Can I leverage this platform to talk about cdkeys, and this lovely letter I received in February of ‘18?

i puttered out on the campaign waaaaaaaaaaaay back when. Tried running a dungeon in 2015, my first time doing it, got kicked. Tried again, kicked. Tried it with some friends, and while they got the credit for completing the dungeon (some quest item or something; been a minute), I did not.

Keep in mind, the game surprised launched a day ahead of schedule. While that was likely to avoid server issues (by getting the super-stoked on board before the rest), there are still Potterheads in my social feed that were oblivious to the launch. Not to mention, how many folks are sitting the first week out after

You know who else is a hack?

Roughly 3.5GB.  If you don’t mind the jankyness, it’s not necessary, but it makes soooooooooooooooo much of a difference to not have to demand-download everything...
