@limitless.opportunity: There were valid reasons for canceling that missions that had nothing to do with funding. I'm on board with the side that says rehashing Apollo doesn't accomplish much, or nearly enough. We can and should do better.

@Wookielifeday: ...again. Because that was also true of the first movie.

@RobCo93: Wow, that's a promoted comment? If you actually see that scene, and you're seriously getting off while that's going on, you're messed up. That's scene's much more scary than sexual.

@jdale: Maybe there's some confusion about refresh rate and frames-per-second going on here. Refresh rate has to go up on high-resolution displays to accomplish the same frames-per-second. But all things being equal, do we need faster (bla)? Yes.

You'd have to pay people to try and come up with a worse way to handle this.

ebuddy is a great instant messaging app, and easily does all that any casual user is going to need. I've been very wary of Trillian for a while now. At one point, no idea if this is still the case, they even blocked message archiving at all levels- close a window and there was no temporary history of the last few

I still just do net get this 3d stuff. Perspective has been used for centuries to create very realistic depictions of 3d, and it's good enough that I can play Halo and bean an elite directly in the head with a hand-lobbed grenade from 50 paces.

@jmhman: Damn those poor people! They live depressing, suicidal lives, living hand-to-mouth and praying to just make it through one more day of life. Meanwhile the government decides they're going to cut down my yacht fund just so Joe Schmoe can get some bread to go with his week-old bologna. There just ain't no

@Zundfolge: Note how line one says "liberals".

@214w: So it's not just me.

@zross312: But Bittorrent is evil?

Watching a video like this, the moon seems so much more real. It's not just an image projected in the sky, is a real thing that's out there.

Or, how about we stop taking personal responsibility for what is clearly an issue with the application itself, and not with individual sets?

So the TSA does nothing but steal our liberties while wasting our tax dollars?

Ten cars that won't get you laid by anything that hasn't had a penicillin shot before:

Ugh.

Mirrors, anyone?

Yeah, I still don't get this "non-newtonian" thing. These liquids don't seem to defy anything that Newton said, they just act weird when exposed to high kinetic energy. And not really that weird- water has the same properties, it just doesn't exhibit them as clearly at low energy levels.

In Legacy, CLU2 wants to take over the world because... uhh... why? He was lord of the Grid, so he wanted to extend his reign into the real world... because... uh... did anyone even know if it was possible for programs to materialize back in the real world? How would CLU2 rule the world when he had no idea what it was

@hdgotham (Hannah Wilson): Another view in layman-understandable terms, many people feel that string theory is hogwash. Anything that disagees with string theory causes someone new to claim they've made some a discovery that the math still holds if you add 12 new dimensions and fifteen new particles (that are all far
