Yeah, the big review paper that came out this year and got a bunch of press (http://jezebel.com/here-is-the-av…) said 13.12cm (std dev of 1.66cm), so 5.17in (0.65in). 6.3in / 16cm is about the 96th percentile.

The link shows reported population means — across a large group of studies — ranging from 4.9 to 6.3 inches, which is a huge (sic!) amount of variation. Not surprisingly, estimates of the overall distribution curve are even less reliable.
