…with bits in.

Whoops, shit, missed the AV news post earlier…

They're saying WHAT now?  I can't beli - you know what?  I can't even pretend to be surprised anymore.  Fox News can eat ALL the dicks.

So Parks, a show struggling with ratings, goes off the air for 5 weeks to bring back another admittedly good show that's also struggling with ratings?  I really like Community, but what the fuck is NBC thinking with how they're handling their shows?

Holy moral relativism, Batman!

You guys should review the new My Bloody Valentine album.  I haven't heard it yet, but my buddy Leonard assures me it's really good.

Blair Shehan was one of the best melodic scream/singers of that era - just a really unique voice and very cool-sounding.  The Jealous Sound is pretty good, but I'm kinda sad their production and pop-friendliness has sort of sanded away that aspect of his music.  They're probably a better pop band, but I still find

"After watching Keiko swipe at her husband for the first part of the hour…"

maybe not whorish in a literal sense, but she was selling her talent for linc stark's benefit, in addition to being paid to seduce him…

beautiful - and beautifully strange - show.  definitely not for everyone (as it's a huge fucking mess at times), but I have a feeling that if a lot of you hadn't seen deadwood first, you might've liked the show a little bit more.

Not really about the new shit, but my brother gave me "1984" for Christmas.  At first, I thought it was a joke, because I've never really known him to be into that stuff (various flavors of Britpop/post-punk/shoegaze/electronic/indie/etc., but never 80's faux-metal cock-rock).  But after talking to him and listening

But….!  With the time travel… and  AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH*thump*

Not to be THAT guy… but the time travel power goes backward with the user.  So if Kelly had it when she went back then the power wouldn't have been available to give to the old manandohmigodfuckitIjustturnedintothebiggestnerdandbrokemybraintryingtojustifythis…

but he had that patchy beard!  you mean that's not enough of a disguise?

I actually remember the original teaser they did for Voyager… it involved a lot of stock footage of starships firing at each other and a dire voiceover about "a galaxy torn by war."  I thought, "Huh!  That sounds interesting and full of promise!"

If you guys like Catherine Wheel (no fucking "The" necessary) circa-"Chrome," (probably the best shoegaze-moonlighting-as-hard-yet-ethereal-rock record) you should check out Adorable.

I have to admit, Crichton did become much more interesting when he lost his marbles almost completely… the crackers-themed episode with the light-sucking alien is probably one of the funniest episodes of the entire show (although the rave one is also pretty hilarious, too).

They don't allow you to have bees in here.

One thing I like about this show (as far as Chris & Reagan) is that they're kinda terribly shallow people, who might just be made better people by focusing on the tiny life that they've created.  It's forcing them to grow out of their shallowness a little bit, and for that it's weirdly touching in some places.
