The person in the photo might be the only thing separating it from countless others. Take the Eiffel Tower image above ... if she’s out of the photo, it’s just ANOTHER picture of the Eiffel Tower. I guess the weather and maybe the angle are sort of unique ... ? Really, it’s the person in the photo that sets it apart.

Sarkeesian’s project, if nothing else, helped propel a lot of discussion about women and games, about what matters and what doesn’t. And she got it all done before Valve could even release Half-Life 3.

Because blood is thicker than water? And that’s because oil and water don’t mix because oil once cheated on water with olives.

Jango’s dismissing replies he doesn’t like, so I thought I’d leave my response to him here:

Jango said:

I would like to remind everyone that this is not censorship and that Playtonic as a private business has the right to express itself as they see fit. If they do not wish to include voice work by a controversial figure in their video game that is well within their right. Jon’s free speech was not violated in any way

Attention world:

Every time you write an article like this and cry “plagiarism” ... even in jest ... where there is none, you strengthen the opposition. It allows them to go, “See ... fake news” and encourage people to ignore anything said about the President, even when it’s true.

So where’s the plagiarism aside from the five words “back to you... the people”?

Meanwhile, my best friend’s father served in Vietnam and lost some very good friends there. He thoroughly enjoyed the Vietnam Special (which was his first exposure to TG) and wanted to see everything else afterward.

Obligatory XKCD:

Cisco/Harry banter is absolutely the greatest part of this show.

I love Cisko, but the best parts of The Flash remain all the roles that Tom Cavanagh plays.

I’ve never been someone to care about what strangers think (we Aquarians pride ourselves on our nonconformist propensities)

Waking up in the middle of a sleep cycle sucks so much.

I don’t even have the words to describe how terrible it is.

I’m just gonna mention that Wartortle has been my favorite Pokemon for years, even though its design is 1000% ridiculous.

1. Push big pieces about with cardboard.
2. Scoop up with paper bag and cardboard.
3. Vacuum
4. Pick up remaining shards with feet over the next few weeks...

Yeah, so Totalbiscuit’s initial tweet was totally rational and reasonable. He didn’t call the game terrible, he simply said it wasn’t for him. The response from the developer was kinda’ out of line.

We still joke about the NCIS one at work all of the time. If someone is working on something hard, we scoot over and start typing beside them to get it done twice as fast.

Certainly—I don't necessarily agree that seeing the larger perspective and being more empathetic with people will help you find a purpose or passion, but I do think it's good advice.
