Paul Schrader wrote a Facebook post about Weinstein, where he called him a “sexual gangster” then complained about Weinstein’s habit of recutting films. He literally said re-editing a movie was worse than rape.

I mean, if they do, it certainly isn’t Miramax. And Weinstein was a high-profile donor, but small fish compared to other mega-donors. His protection came from the industry, not any political connections he may have had.

It has the reek of the UK’s Jimmy Saville, a creepy paedo protected by the industry until after he was dead. Weinstein is still alive to face the consequences, at least.
