We “can’t” find housing for the homeless because the fiscally conservative among us don’t want to pay for such things.

Its just a Republican governor doing things to hurt the country so people can blame Biden.

Republican governance at its best.

NP at $5,900. I still wouldn’t buy it, but this car is for:

It’s low mileage and in nearly new condition, but it wasn’t that good of a car when it was actually new.

it might appear worthless at first glance, until you think about the secondary market of providing fodder for blog posts for sites trying to fill out their quota

It must have gotten deleted already, but basically it was along the lines of “why are you assuming the gunmans gender, they could identify blah blah blah” bullshit.

One thing I can say is that a majority of NYC subway stations are not only not ADA accessible (only 25% were ADA compliant last time I checked), they also do not up to code with regards to sufficient emergency exits and that can cause a significant uptick in casualties in a disaster, shooting, or terrorist attack.

I’m not responding to the comments I’m referring to but wtf. how are the first two comments on a story about a mass shooting:
1. a shitty joke about gender identity by some mouth breathing troglodyte
2. a sarcastic comment about public transport, as if this could be blamed on subways instead of a gun proliferation no

There’s context here that’s increasingly ignored as years go by. People HAVE hijacked commercial aircraft, have tried to blow them up with shoes and underwear, have flown them into buildings. Liquid explosives exist. Those are facts. The question here is trying to find the right balance. Government Bad, ACLU (of which

Because we all remember the time that a terrorist flew a train into a skyscraper.

Christ, I didn’t realize they were getting that powerful. I guess the car-like pricing and size kinda implies that sorta power, but in my head these were always more like quad ATV-type drivetrains.

I think it was a $5K vehicle 4 years ago. It may be a $5K again in another 4-5 years, but with where things are at the moment, I think it’s priced accordingly.

All roads lead to Yesterday’s Buick Was Garbage.

If the legacy brands are precluded from selling DTC, perhaps we need more Teslas and the like who aren’t bound to most dealer franchise laws.

It is the privately owned ordinary cars that are the true losses, because those are cars people cared enough for to tranship rather than replace. They meant something to someone, and that is a shame to lose those emotional connections.

Dealerships: “Why don’t people want to buy from us?”

Their new contracts will probably have a ‘legal fee’ line added that they will claim is mandatory

These huge dealership networks look at fines as part of the cost of doing business. The COVID markups they are charging now will probably cover this fine and then some.

Talk about a buried lede here — there’s enough enthusiasm for an association?!
