I have little sympathy for DC residents. If you’re going to live in the nation’s Capital, you’ve got to be ready for some political unrest. It’s like building a house next to a golf course and not expecting a few broken windows.

It’s Bradley, he might.

I truly hope that Lando Norris recovers quickly and does suffer any detrimental respiratory, cardiac, chronic fatigue or cognitive decline side effects.

There’s a difference between running over a bunch of people on a walking path minding their own business vs accelerating out of an angry mob that’s blocking the street and attacking you. Comparing these to ISIS is a bit of a false equivalency.

The police ramming these rioters don’t really bother me . There is a difference between protesters and rioters  .Protesters should be protected rioters need to be protected against . When a crowd attacks it can get real ugly real fast .

I believe the workers should be getting their full pay and benefits as long as they are working during negotiations. That’s fair. If they are not working during negotiations, then they are not earning their wage or benefits payouts. That’s fair, too.  You work for your pay.

The workers should absolutely be treated fairly. But fighting against electrification and the inherent reduction in manufacturing costs that will come with it is like trying to save your snowman in spring. Car manufacturing is going to change. You’ve got to find a way to get ahead of the change to position yourself as

At some point, the UAW has to realize they’re raging against an inexorable future. EV manufacturing requires less labor, and much of it can be automated.

Unions had their time and place - That time has come and gone and they are no longer necessary. Safety is regulated by OSHA and education can be gained from any of the millions of community colleges or technical schools across the country. Unions are a protection racket designed to pad the pockets of the

can we just replace the UAW employees with robots already?

Man I’m not sure what your new overlords did but the pages here have been loading awful the past week.

I truly do have a problem with the CEO pay in America, but not when it comes to discussing large contracts involving a lot of employees. Mary’s $22 million annual salary completely split among GM’s union labor force is <$500 a person per year. It’s a character type assassination/ad hominem/red herring, and it is bad

I thought GM was spot on. If you want to understand what your health care costs, here, you pay for it for a while.

Unions suck. I’ve worked for three and they’re good for taking your money and backing the wrong people. I saw more guys walked out for minor stuff (late coming back from lunch was the biggie at one shop) simply because they weren't on their knees, sucking up to the steward.

Honestly, if people are actually productive and UAW didn’t make it so hard to fire shitty employees, they can probably do with like 80-90% of their work force just from pure efficiency gains.

So, the “workers” want to still get paid and be sitting pretty when the economy takes a turn, and their neighbors are screwed?

I’m really happy for you, and I’ma let you finish, but the SAAB 9³ had the best cupholder of all time.

They’re traveling for free on a employee pass... There’s different standards when you get it free from the an employee (which then you do represent the company even if you don’t know it) rather than when you paid for your seat.

Lots of tweets, but pictures would say much more. If their leggings were shear enough to effectively be pantyhose/underwear as opposed to proper clothing, I would side with United. It’s unreasonable to assume that just because one of the passengers was young that her parents had her dressed properly. We really
