Hmm, I think I'm going to get up now. Oh, hey, look, my daddy is going turbo fas—-*momentarily brain dead*

@Kotaku Reject: Thanks for posting the video. It was a little strange with all the chopped up scenes, but I got the gist.

It'd be more interesting if killing another player doesn't yield any rewards. This would give a unique insight into the kind of player who kills others just to ruin their fun.

I think Nintendo let Scott Pilgrim use the song because the movie actually has video game themes to it. Justin Bieber movie - nothing remotely related to video games. In fact, I think Nintendo figured that it would cheapen their brand if they let the movie use it. People would be like "If this song somehow fits into

@Gauski: Yes, it is. Though if you're reading Kotaku, I'm surprised you haven't figured this out yet.

It's not really a big deal, but I just wanted to point out this game is not a shoot 'em up, but rather an FPS. A shoot 'em up (shmup) is actually a sub-genre of gaming that features games like space invaders. You can read more here:

@Cursed Frogurt: I know exactly what you mean. I've had to use the stylus in some pretty awkward positions in order to avoid touching the screen with a finger. On the bright side, though, my touch screen looks a lot better than most of my friends' DS screens.

Did anyone else notice how Pit's skip/walk animation looks like a bird hopping around on the ground? I think the animation is intentionally supposed to look that way, considering Pit has wings and all.

Is anyone else worried this is going to kill the touch screen? Or at least leave it with a lot of finger prints.

@RealmRPGer: The 3DS still might be a whopping $100 cheaper than the PSP2, and if that's the case, then Nintendo will still be manufacturing the go to handheld.

@InfiniteJustice: I don't think it's referring to any of the Star Wars movies, but rather the game series. This will be the third Lego Star Wars game (not counting the complete saga).

I've already preorderd the 3DS, but I have to say I'm somewhat disappointed with the launch titles. That said, it's not like the price is going to drop later this year, so I might as well get it now and buy all the awesome games when they come out toward the end of 2011. Also, I'll have Pokemon White to hold me over :)

This seems like a pretty effective way to avoid shooting the same groups of enemies over and over (I'm looking at you Uncharted), but does it mean that the same animations will apply to every enemy? It might look a little odd if a skinny enemy and an obese enemy have the exact same posture and walk cycle.

There will always be some people who just can't handle 3D. That's unfortunately to be expected. But this doesn't mean it will affect everyone. I'm sure 3DS game developers have all played their games for a decent amount of time, and I have a feeling if this dizziness occurred for everyone, the development process

@NightMystic: That's probably because they have no idea what a 3DS is. With the exception of the gamers who regularly visit gaming web sites like Kotaku, not many people are probably aware of the 3DS, or at least when it will become available. Wait until the eminent release, when the ads start appearing on the tv, and

I had that exact same problem a few months ago. It was a major pain. Comcast had to send someone to my house, and I had to get a new cable box. I haven't had a problem since, though, so I guess it was worth the weekend wait for the guy to show up.

I'm one of those people who really enjoys just hopping from one topic to the next on Wikipedia. In fact, most of my knowledge on video games' history was gained from spending a good time reading wikipedia when I was bored. Now I don't know if that information will prove to be useful later on in life, but either way, I

"but we also need to look at there will be other things that come out"

The message might have been a bit misguided, but I thought the video was pretty funny. To all those who are saying this video must be aimed at people under 18, look at the age of the moms. They look like they could be the mothers of people aged mid 20s-mid 30s. I think the video is just trying to make a joke that

@Clive Bavels: The whole massage app scenario is essentially equivalent to a game like "You're in the movies" constantly outselling games like Gears of War and Halo. I would imagine that Bungie and Epic would become quite discouraged if this was the case. Massage app monopoly means less innovation in the indie game
