I was disappointed in the seasons I did see of Foundation. Slow, and I didn’t get a feeling of the both the scale of the Empire and the time span involved.

I agree that it’s not dripping with satire. It’s more subtle that that but it still should be obvious to most people. Sadly, I have met many people who don’t get that it is satire.

Yes.  The cognitive disconnect of his most ardent followers is very strong.  If he’s a billionaire, he should be able to fund his entire campaign without accepting a single donation, and then tout that he’s beholden to no one but the voters.

That’s fine as long as the prisoner gets the money rather than the prison owner.  The profit motive needs to be removed from incarcerating people.  Society should incarcerate only those that truly need to be separated from the rest of society.

As the prices at major FF chains have increased, I’ve found myself going to small one off local places where I’m only spending a few dollars more to get a superior meal.

The only food that prison labor should produce is that which they will consume at the prison in question.
