Also for the record I think the updates have done a very respectable job at improving the game. They’ve definitely been working hard to atone for whomever’s mistake this was.

Yep. I thought the game play was just fine. Sure, not ground breaking, but fine. I dont see enough people talk about how great looking the game is. Cut scenes end and you legit dont realize it because the graphics are top notch.
