You don’t sue people when they’re doing things that are illegal. Lawsuits are for situations where no crime has been committed- but one party needs some kind of redress.

And, if we could kill the imperial system while we’re at it, that would be great.

It really is. I actually have to be honest, VB has gotten way too far up its own ass with continuity. When you vanish for five years between seasons, it’s a little hard for audiences to keep tabs on the whos-who of your world. While R&M also is building a lot of continuity into their stories, it’s more icing than vital

I don’t even think you need to make it a period piece, but I think you need to push it so far away from the “real world” that the film’s world makes sense. That means you need to launch the franchise the same way the comics did: with the mother-fuckin’ Mole Man and giant underworld creatures attacking the city.

Augmented Reality is one candidate, but so are a variety of projection technologies. You could easily turn a white room into a virtual space using projection.

No, it isn’t. The point is to create an immersive experience, I just think that the “strap on a set of goggles” approach is a terrible way to get that goal.

The problem isn’t the size- it’s that it blocks out the world around me.

Wake me when VR doesn’t involve putting on a headset, because headsets are bullshit.

It’s a thing that holds ammunition in a firearm, often mistakenly referred to as a “clip”.

I know this is going to make me atypical, but I’m just sad that it’s planned as a rogue-like with procedural maps. I feel like a world like this deserves to have a really solid, planned story, told through the level design.

The robot’s brain was not formatted.

That is my stance. In fact, I argue that there are now at least three factions of Borg- the Hugh-descendants, the Queen-lead, and the O.G. collective. The Queen was created as a response to the individuality virus, but due to the information lag constraints that places on that faction, they’re in decline and being

Forget the MPAA, WTF is wrong with EVERYONE INVOLVED IN MAKING THAT MOVIE?

I can’t say I’m happy that Shayla got fridged here. It completely sucks that her potentially interesting character basically only got to be defined by men and one completely out of nowhere snog with Girl Next Door.

The scene with Rent-A-Center Patrick Bateman and his wife in the kitchen started out with a really great shot- and then ruined it by ping-ponging all over the line of action until you almost felt like they weren’t in the same room anymore. Really bugged me.

I saw them once. That was enough. I’ve had the experience, it was okay, but I have no interest in revisiting it.

You’re so close to a haiku.

It’s explained in the article.

Is that one an Iron Mountain site? I know there’s a government file storage facility near Pittsburgh. And, local to you, hunh? I live in Pittsburgh these days (but grew up near the Iron Mountain site in the Catskills).

Magnetic tape starts to fail at 110º, but starts to degrade at 74º. The tapes wouldn’t be stored with running computers, they’d be in an archival vault. Magnetic tape is extremely durable- under controlled conditions. Once you start fucking with those conditions, it starts to fall apart really fast.
