I understand the point she's trying to make- a lot of people get so far as setting up the pieces but they don't move them anywhere. And I agree that's a problem, but I don't agree that plot is necessarily the solution.

Hey, the roads in my neighborhood need repaved anyway. Might as well work in an upgrade while we're at it.
The "blue box" has changed quite a bit, even in the run of NuWho. And there have been points in oldWho where it lost its ability to traverse space and time, and where the chameleon circuit briefly worked again. The idea that the TARDIS is alive and a character is a huge change from oldWho, where it was just a machine.
The number one, unbeatable reason why there should be a female Doctor: the core essence of Doctor Who is change. The show is one of the only programs on television that has built change into its mythology. Colin Baker's best (and first) line was, "Change, Peri, and not a moment too soon."
It was bigger, but Kinja has Kinjed it.
For the last time, I wasn't crying. I was lubricating my face to cut down wind resistance! It's aerodynamic!
The last first date I had, which was a number of years ago, involved sitting in a hotel room together and reviewing print outs of the LiveJournal-based Star Trek RPG that I had fallen out of sync with due to an extended period without Internet.
Lt. Valentine leaned against the base of her mech. The vague voice of an imagined superior officer was screaming at her. "Late! Lieutenant, you would be late to your own goddamn funeral. The Union Army has gone so far as to strap a goddamn fucking rocket to your ass, and you still cannot get anywhere on time. I should…

Therapist: "And then what happens?"
Haven't read that, but I can't recall a biography that has claimed he did, either. By all accounts, Tesla had many lady suitors, and spurned them all. There are some rumors that he had a few gentlemen callers, but most of them appeared to be poorly documented.
"Orphan Black" could have very easily felt like it was starring "Haley Mills" and "Haley Mills" in… The Parent Trap. But it didn't, and a huge credit does have to go to the writers and the production team.
I was more thinking of the half-buried Angels. It just seems far easier to do in a soundstage. Honestly, given how much benefit the location offered (none), they probably should have save money and shot it on a soundstage.
I love matte paintings, and I think that they should re-enter filmmaking as a technique. They can look richer than CGI.
I thought the forest was clearly a sound stage.
Hell, you should have a good idea of the answers to these questions before the meeting. My biggest pet peeve is when people send out meeting requests without a clear agenda. "Talk about X" is useless to me. What do you want to know about "X"? Why?
