I would argue that, more than sci-fi, Milton invented fanfic.

What's to worry about? When it comes to gigantic lizards rising out of the ocean and leveling cities with atomic fire, grounded realism is the first thing that comes to mind.
I haven't read Crecy, but in general, when you take a culture that actually exists, ignore everything actually true about it and substitute black people in the place of Aryans, so that your protagonists can beat up on them... that's pretty racist.
I admit, I haven't read his run on Daredevil.

Actually, I have to say- having read some of his "seminal 80s" stuff well after the 80s- Frank Miller was never very good. He was the first person in mainstream comics to hit some of the places he got to, and there's some credit to be had in that. But I have to be honest: TDKR is barely readable even from the…
Looking at all the set-built light sources, I have to wonder: how much does the set designer hate the lighting and photography crews? Because that's not going to be easy to shoot on with all those extra light-sources in there.
There is nothing the slightest bit steampunk about the current TARDIS interior. Just because it's got a brown color scheme and you can sometimes see the internal parts and it's just a bit of a mess does not make something "steampunk".
I'm not up to participating today, but I have Joyner's book, Donuts and Robots, and it's fantastic. So many great images.

I've been trying to join the Blue Blaze Irregulars for years.
Hudson is awesome. Sure, he's a jerk and a braggart, but he's so much fun to watch.
If Frodo is Ripley, that makes Samwise Hicks, and Gandalf is Bishop. Aragorn gets to be Hudson, and we know how that turns out.
I think what you're missing though is that the idea of calling this "bad behavior" is incredibly new. Rewind half a century, and the idea that women could be serious professional anything would sound controversial. Rewind a whole century, and you have women being beaten in the streets for having the temerity to…
"I hope you like feminism and PC groups forcing their ideas on the gaming industry even more now guys, because this is where it's headed."
Nooooooo.
Quick… someone is having a discussion about challenges someone has in an industry… and they're not talking about men! TO THE COCKMOBILE!
But it's gotta be sooooo easy. I mean, just band together and make a studio. How could that be hard? Then make a AAA game with a multi-million dollar budget. Piece of cake.
It's not like there's any simple solution to deal with institutional sexism. The honest answer is "stop being douchebags", but douchers gonna douche.
