I loved the butterflies in the mindscape. The way they were animated seems reminiscent of the Cowboy Bebop movie.
The Philosophy Majors is clearly the best band in the universe.
'You’re either a Faith No More fan, or a Red Hot Chili Peppers fan.'
Is there a third option where we can just kill ourselves in this binary universe?
Has anyone noticed how there seems to be a movie about the President towards the end of their respective times in office? Primary Colors(which is roman-a-clef, but whatever, it's about Clinton) came out in '98, W. came out in out in 08, and now we have this one in the last year of Obama's Presidency. It seems like…
Complete with a synth keyboard solo. Ross Geller would expect no less.
Is this the same Adam what Ruins Everything that I keep seeing ads for?
And now I'm thinking of the alternate universe where David Schwimmer ended up with Will Smith's acting career playing Jim West (taming the West) in Wild Wild West.
Gendry stopped rowing!
Randyll Tarly sits in a Barcalounger holding a stein of mead grousing about his wildling daughter-in-law and his meathead of a son.
Well, I for one, certainly am glad that Jumanji's cinematic legacy is being preserved. I demand a cameo appearance from David Alan Grier's shoe factory employee! Who knows what he's been up to for the past twenty years!
I could see that, but I just don't think that the showrunners are gonna devote that much time to the Dornish. Given their lack of screentime this season, I think they decided to de-emphasize them. And giving more focus to,say, Lady Nym, would probably take more time away from the plots that really need to advance in…
Maaaybe if Doran were still in charge I could see some conflict brewing if Elia's 'son' had just popped up out of the blue. But Dorne's ruled by Oberyn's mistress and their kinslaying bastard children now.
I just don't see it happening without it needlessly complicating an already condensed narrative.
Given the abbreviated nature of the final two seasons, they'd better not introduce The Griffs at this point. It's too late to introduce these guys as anything but filler. Besides, too much has been changed in with the KL storyline, Varys' machinations, and with Dorne for it to be helpful in any way, shape or form.
Well, certainly wasn't expecting this to be anywhere approaching decent. Huh.
What, those crank calls or pogs?
With any luck, we'll have an appearance from his Werner Herzog.
Partly because Goyer didn't think anyone outside comic nerds *get* Martian Manhunter.
It really only occurs to me now that there is an ideal director for this movie. Let's see the property is known to be cheap and campy, there are lots of musclebound heroes and villains, and it's success is based almost entirely on how many toys it can ship. They should've just hired Joel Schumacher!
Charlie's Angels, We Are Marshall, Stolen, This Means War, that one Terminator where Christian Bale was caught yelling at the DP, and now, He-Man. But to me, he'll always be that one guy who directed Smash Mouth's 'All-Star' music video.
