I’d argue the latter works really well if “cue” is read as an imperative verb.

When I left this comment I did it with the knowledge that I’d likely be accused of being a butthurt Cubs fan; upset that no one finds the Cubs lovable anymore. I even considered that my post was proving the very point that I was mocking. I’d have tipped by cap to anyone that pointed that out.
