18/20. Does Billy know what an FA cup is?
“And Pep Guardiola is Pep Guardiola:”
I think it’s everyone’s fault but obviously the players no longer were responding to Mourinho. The old guard I don’t think was ever the issue, it was the younger players (Hazard, Oscar, etc). To me, it seemed like since they won the league last year and that they know they were good meant they didn’t have to work as…
I think the fact that the author needed to address something that is never going to happen as something that could happen sums up the quality of the author’s inability to spot footballing press BS.
Just admit it Bill, this is Mourinho’s fault.
If you quickly scroll through this waaay too long article/post you will get the same insight as actually reading whatever this is supposed to be.
“Footballer does football thing”
Perez is just a puppet of the Madrid driven press who choose who needs to go and who needs to stay. There are certain untouchables and plenty of scapegoats. This won’t end with Perez. It was there before him and it’ll go on after him.
It’s funny, Barca sold out that love to Qatar for a lot of money. But go on then.
“my mind keeps coming back to Sergi Roberto.”
The biggest issue to me is the goalie equipment and that has been a thing since the late 90s when Garth Snow was rocking a bomb squad suit under his jersey.
Can this article be fired?
“That Chris Bosh comparison wasn’t a toss-off.”
I did read it which is why the part I mentioned sounds even more idiotic each time I see it.
While understanding that the post is about Mourinho the failures of CFC are down to all parties involved: players, manager, board. The biggest blame however should go to the players. Aside from Azpilicueta, no Chelsea player has played anywhere near their best this season.
“Mourinho’s proven repeatedly that he has a narrow skill set”
I feel this is how most of your opinion pieces come together.
I think the issue here is the author has no respect for MLS because he feels it doesn’t deserve it from him and that people who care about the league, regardless of how deep their allegiance to it, should wake up and see how big a joke MLS is perceived to be and that any respect has not been earned.
That’s great parenting:
