I’m disappointed to see worthy projects being thwarted and mysticism still in action today, all in the name of “Religion.”

I hope this pattern continues and the democrats find someone better than Hillary to run against this clown.
Creating Klingons that look nothing like either TOS or TNG Klingons doesn’t make any sense at all.
Also they learned how to talk fluently. These Klingons seem all have recently gotten tongue piercings.
The fact that you have to even do those kinds of gymnastics in the first episode is problematic. I get that the ridges are an issue but they should have made it easier for themselves - and there were so many ways to do that - than dig themselves in this hole of continuity.
I had a lot of emotions after last night’s episode, mostly disappointment and anger. Disappointment over the wooden acting, ridiculous exposition statements, and lack of a “wow” factor. Anger over this whole bait-and-switch perpetrated by CBS in airing the first half of the pilot and then pretty much telling everyone…
Societies do. Physiognomy doesn’t. Not like this. It’s not about the culture is about the way they look. There are many ways of dealing with the discrepancies of the Klingon appearance between TOS and TNG - ignore it, explain it.
I assume the “Vulcan Hello” is leaning your holographic butt against a real table. How... why... what???
The problem with your comparison is that there are not people in your own government who are trying and often succeeding to make laws requiring you to play and watch basketball. Also, basketball is real. Maybe quidditch would have been a better example.
I blame the over saturation of anti-heroes from the 80's and 90's and conservative push to mythologize the foundation of the USA and evangelize unrestrained capitalism. Assholes became successful and were constantly being shown as being right when the system told them otherwise. I mean Rick is basically a God for…
I hope the show addresses this with an episode where Rick meets the insufferable members of his interdimensional fan club, and immediately proceeds to exploit and discard them, as is his wont.
It reminds me quite a bit of It’s Always Sunny; for a while I lived with a small handful of dudes who wanted to be The Gang, picking analogues in the show for who they felt best represented them, and emulating the various drinking games and habits they exhibited. It entirely baffles me that anyone would watch that…
One of the primary criticisms leveled against Rick And Morty fans is that they mistakenly valorize Rick as a sort of uber-nerd, a shit-talking asshole who’s too smart to abide by normal social rules. Rick is always right, and when he isn’t, he still comes out on top, probably with a catchphrase and an episode-ending…
>because of those fans, the show is becoming easy to hate
Yeah, but Kirk, have you tried the MIDA Multi-Tool?
“Thunderstorm turns into a nuclear reactor...”
First of all, flying cars would pretty much have to be autonomous. And even if for some ridiculous reason they were not, we already allow people into the third dimension for travel. Those people must take tons of lessons and get lots of practice time and pass difficult tests. It’s going well thus far.
Uhhh... no. Universal healthcare matters. Alot. Taxing the rich matters. The USA is becoming a bad place. Clinton represented keeping the train moving. Sanders represented holding the train hostage until we can agree upon a new track. Trump represented going off the rails.
The problem is that we don’t all agree on what’s “right” in this case. We are not talking about people who were unjustly imprisoned by a racist police force, or something like that. We are talking about willful, knowing lawbreakers. There are plenty of people in this country who see deportation as a just response to…
I think all of the criticisms of Pelosi are valid (or at least have some merit) except for one: Talking/Working with Trump. That’s her job. Activists, lay-citizens and pundits can hate and scream #neverTrump or whatever all day long but Pelosi, as a member of Congress has to engage with him in some way. I wish she…
