I don't really think of games as things to beat anymore, I guess. I'm buying a lot of rogue-likes, which sure, you can often beat, but it's not like the fun is in seeing the credits screen.

Well, to be fair, the character she was cosplaying has bigger, creepier eyes.
Okay, there's some weird opposite uncanny valley shit going on here that seems somewhat creepy to me.
It's the Terran Adjutant (AI helper). It's her voice that announces in game events, e.g. "Not enough minerals". Her portrait appears in the bottom of the HUD when you have a command center selected (maybe other times, that's the one that comes to mind).
I have played soo much starcraft in my lifetime (possibly too much) and I'm well familiar with the adjutant, yet this gif still made me jump out of my seat.
I like my Marines too much to go over to the Toss side.
That animation always freaks me the f out. Yet another reason to play Protoss.
The green one went from 9 to over 9000 in 1 second.
I think the first player chooses two columns of numbers, one for him and one for his opponent. Then his opponent chooses a row that intersects both without knowing which column belongs to him and which belongs to his opponent. Then it is revealed which column is which and the intersecting numbers are the scores for…
Cordial Minuet is a deceptively simple game. Stephen previously wrote about Cordial Minuet, and I recommend his post for an intimate breakdown. For this story, though, you only need to grasp the basic concepts. In Cordial Minuet, there are six rows and six columns on a creepy board. The numbers add up to 111 in every…
That's a nice rationalization, but still contrary to the facts prior to Episode 1's release. WE shouldn't have to do mental gymnastics to find coherency.
I posted this comment elsewhere, but it's worth noting that even with Tattooine as Vader's home planet, it still makes sense. His Mom died here, and shortly thereafter any innocence he had left when he slaughtered all those sand people. It was his home as he grew up as a slave. It's the single last place in the galaxy…
Ridiculous. This is like using a bulldozer to push a pebble. People have way too much idle time. This person seems smart - too bad it's wasted on this crap.
Actually the flu is that big of a deal. 21 kids have died already this season. Also, 6.8% of ALL deaths reported by 122 cities across the US were due to flu. In my city alone, 21 people were admitted to the ICU and are in a critical state due to the flu just in the last week.
Walking on planets and star bases is on the map. We don't know when that will be ready though.
