Anyone who has a problem with people celebrating after they score in a world cup is a pissant whiner whose opinion can be discarded out of hand. And if Thailand don’t want to see the opposing team celebrate a goal 13 times in one game, they should try not conceding 13 times in one game. 

If you actually think there is any connection whatsoever between getting into Harvard and being funny, in the sense that since Harvard and the Lampoon are “hard to get into”, that means only really funny guys must be coming out of them, then you are an alien. You are an absurd, detached, alien.

Toobin graduated from Harvard Law School with a JD, magna cum laude, then clerked for a federal judge, then worked as an associate counsel to the guy investigating Iran-Contra, then worked as an AUSA in Brooklyn for three years.  It’s embarrassing on Clark’s part to say this.

“For all his personal decency” is a useless construction when you acknowledge evil acts. The line that people try to draw like this doesn’t actually exist. He was not personally decent - he was a grasping, corrupt reactionary and a mass-murderer. 

This rules. It’s one of the most powerfully dumb and weird things I’ve ever seen. I’m going to see it. 

Was it really in jeopardy, though? I find it difficult to believe that this micro-controversy wouldn’t have fizzled in a week.
