This would have been a good opportunity to replace the 360 games with Xbox Series S/X, at least in the near future. But thanks to the Games w/Gold program I now have a bunch of 360 games that I can still play even though I haven’t been a member of Gw/G since last year.

I have both the original and the newer version on Steam...pretty sure I got the newer one as part of a bundle. Guess we’ll see what September brings....

Oh boy, a reason to wear my old “The Cake is a Lie” t-shirt and have people ask me if it’s about birthdays :) Seriously, while I doubt I’ll buy this since I already own both games on Steam (even though I have Still Alive for the 360, I’m also still lousy using a controller with 1st-person games), this is a fantastic

That had the best versions of 2D fighters outside of the arcade, better than Sony could hope to be in that department at least. And I have owned both the Saturn and PS1 since 1997.

Eh, while I do want to upgrade my RX580 8GB sometime soon, I’ll likely wait until I can get a new one at or below MSRP. But since it takes just a little bit of time before people forget their pain of trying to mine crypto (like what happened after I bought my RX580 in Sept. 2018), I won’t wait very long.

I’m 60 years old, and while I do play a variety of genres, I also love fighting games. I have since the early 90s, with Street Fighter 2 and Virtua Fighter. And I don’t mind saying I’m not very good at them.

I bet they wouldn’t like the color of blood in the Danganronpa games, then (but then again, people getting bent out of shape over the color of blood here probably wouldn’t even be playing Danganronpa) :)

Even though I can play the original hardware on my large CRT TV, I usually play them on my 43" 4k TV these days. That means either two ways...on my Retron 5, which plays NES, Famicom, SNES/Super Famicom, Genesis/Megadrive and Game Boy Advance/GBC/GB. Despite the fact that it rips the ROM from my original carts when I

I’ll just watch these. Yeah, I know they’re a little out of date, but they still have lots of cool info...HEY! I bet that Nintendo Revolution will be hella sweet :)

“Those were the days, my friend, I thought they’d never end....”

That KISS cover brings back memories....of being a 15-year old in 1977. Had gotten into KISS the previous year when my mom got me the first Alive album for my new record player. In those days she had a huge console stereo in the front room, and while it had an AM/FM radio and record player, it also had an 8-track

I have a Nintendo Wii and plenty of games for it. However, it isn’t hooked up. Why?

As a kid of the 1960s, in defense of baseball cards the packs were usually around 10 cents a pack, you got a (barely edible) stick of bubble gum in them, and any cards you already had you could sometimes trade to friends who may have an extra card you want.

You’re probably right. I don’t recall Shadow ever being on PC, and since it was only on PS2, OG Xbox and Game Cube that would eliminate a digital storefront.

Guess if it ain’t in his pants, it has to be in his gun closet.

Yeah, I had a boxed version I found at a Circuit City many years ago, but I never saw it on a digital platform. Sonic Adventure DX was initially released like that too, though that was later made available as part of the “Dreamcast Collection”.

To my knowledge, while Sonic Heroes was on PC, it wasn’t on Steam. The others weren’t. Sonic and the Black Knight was a Wii title, but I don’t recall it ever being available for download.

I still have a physical copy of this game for my 360, which is still very much hooked up to my TV; too many games I have that are NOT playable on my XB1. Same reason why my OG Xbox is still hooked up.

Or it’s just a multi-billion dollar corporation being greedy as hell.

Sadly, not surprising. I got my PlayStation Classic from Amazon when they were marked down to $28, and modified it to play my own games so I wouldn’t have to deal with their crappy selections (I mean, NO Tomb Raider? NO SotN? NO Einhander? Yer kiddin’!) and weird PAL choices.
