From the Vanity Fair article linked:

“In a telephone interview, Jane Carter stops just short of acknowledging Pearlman made improper overtures to her son. “Certain things happened,” she tells me, “and it almost destroyed our family. I tried to warn everyone. I tried to warn all the mothers.” Told that this article

If you have BOTH your parents search a room for hidden cameras, you know something’s up, dude.

I’ve never understood why flight attendants are expected to wear such constricting and uncomfortable clothing, full stop. If, heaven forbid, there is ever an emergency, they’re there to handle the situation. Give me a flight attendant in khakis and a polo who can unfurl an emergency slide and evacuate passengers with

I worked at a place like you describe once. The culture of mistreatment and abuse was top of my list of reasons for leaving.

I’m a man, and I have NEVER been verbally abused where I work. If I were, I would report it and expect management to take serious action. Stop being complicit in abusive situations - no one should have to put up with that, regardless of their gender identity.

They’re stuck in flying metal tubes for hours and have to deal with close contact with the public. Just let them wear polos, for heaven’s sake.

Shit-ass dudes and incels pretty much ruin everything. I’m not even a YouTuber or an influencer, but I made a comment on something Kamala Harris posted on Twitter not long ago. Some MAGATs came back at me and instead of fighting, I replied with gifs of laughter or dancing. One of them sent a message to my Facebook

The whole thing is a dispute between two small businesses. I glazed over after the sixth paragraph (felt like the 50th).

Did anyone else find this somewhat anticlimactic and awkward for a feature?

Maybe its because I’m not a mom but this all sounds really obnoxious.

We can extrapolate that Biden has probably made thousands of women feel uncomfortable at this point in his career, all the while thinking he was doing the opposite, so where do we go from here? The nature of the interactions actually bothers me less than the fact that he apparently has such bad interpersonal skills

Totally agree. And some of us welcome hugs by some people and not others.

Since it’s highly unlikely Biden will be reading this comment, I’ll post some advice for anyone else that wants a takeaway from this: If you consider yourself an affectionate person, particularly with strangers, take a moment to ask yourself: Is it possible that you’ve made people uncomfortable, but they’ve been too

This is what we’re talking about when we’re referencing the Tyrannical Patriarchy.

A hearty fuck-you to the men who decided to display this picture in full during her disciplinary hearing.

It’s absolutely discrimination. A crime was committed against her and she is being punished for it.

disgusting, it’s not like she was sharing it with the students. She’s victimized twice here.

My first reaction when I first heard about it was“Your plan is....to use a business model designed to encourage people to sign up for recurring billing and forget/never use the service but then market it to people who specifically want high touch individualized medical care and then only hire one doctor?”

Workplace policy usually specifically prohibits talking about salary with coworkers, which is some bullshit that keeps this kind of shit going, honestly. So it’s real hush-hush about actual numbers in corporate gigs like working for the big D (I’m a contractor here).
