My now-wife really wanted a big honking engagement ring. It was just always in her head that she would get one. We married older and were financially secure, so it wasn’t a big burden.

That photo of Apple and Gwyneth is not the one in question. It was a post showing apple in a sky mask, her face basically wasn’t showing.

If her kid doesn’t want pictures of her to be posted, then yes, Gwenyth is never supposed to post a pic of her kid. She’s not a dinner from a lousy restaurant or a rescue puppy, she’s a person who should be allowed to decide how much of her image should be online, ESPECIALLY considering how famous her mother is.

I think for me, the thing thats problematic here is that Apple has made it clear that this is a convo they’ve had in the past where she’s specifically asked her mom to not post photos without her consent, and then her mom did so. It’s less about the actual photo posting (although I think there’s a lot of validity…
