There's one on the website that depicts the apartment building where I grew up. The "lot" next door was a really nice courtyard with a garden where all the kids played. It was a Mitchell-Lama specifically for artists back then and now they have filled in the courtyard to build additional multi-million dollar condos.

Neighborhoods are getting gentrified, residents are getting gentryfucked.

Honestly all I see here is how bad a photographer is and how much work was left to the editor. I know Annie is regarded as a great photographer (and I love a huge amount of her work) there are still ways to photograph and light someone that don't require so much editing.

I think the fact that she started out by ordering native craftspeople to produce what she wanted and selling them at a profit was.... maybe an early indicator that she wasn't going to be the worlds greatest employer. :/
